I am new to being vegan and need some help. What should i use instead of a lunch box or paper bag? I really want something reuseable but not a lunch box. Its not that i am embarrased to carry a lunchbox i just dont like how they look. At my school we are seated side by side so there is no room for a giant tray thing.Oh and please dont leave answers telling me about your hello kitty lunch box, thanks.

Answer
I'd recommend getting a neoprene lunchbox/bag. I put a link to a basic style, but you can find these almost anywhere now. They are well insulated, so they keep your food cold or warm, they're easy to carry, and they stretch, so you can hold quite a bit in there. And a lot of them even look like purses, so they're super stylish, and they come in MANY styles. The link I left below is a basic guide to the fabric & price. ENJOY :D

If I'm sewing a lunch sack should I put some interfacing between the layers?

Q.

Answer
This one uses thin batting - http://henriettashandbags.com/the_lunch_bag_pattern.html

You can also use Insul-Bright batting to help keep the contents warm or cool.

Batting, interfacing and Insulate can be found in fabric stores and all are washable.

Batting and interfacing are available in iron-on or sew in.

I prefer the iron-on for crafts.

I'm wanting to make my son a lunch sack to take to Kindergarten with him, but can't seem to find the wipe-able insulating fabric for the inside. Any clues?

Thanks!

Answer
You are looking for insul-bright. It is with the interfacings.

You can also get it at Hobby Lobby and they have a 40% coupon this week. http://www.hobbylobby.com/weekly/weekly.cfm?page=2

Another source - http://www.nancysnotions.com/product/fabric/specialty/insul+bright.do

You need two layers of vinyl with the insul-bright in between the layers.
