Canadas wonderland and friends house help!?

Julene O

well on saturday i am going to my friends house to sleep over then in the me and my friends are going to wonderland i am convuised what di i pack HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

Answer
Well I'm assuming that you know what to bring for the sleepover, just the ordinary you know. Pajamas, toothbrush, toothpaste, face wash, towel, another set of clothing for the next day, or bring some fun things that you know you guys can enjoy playing with. :)

Then the next day for wonderland, I agree with above, the main thing is that you should remember to dress comfortably. Shorts + T-shirt would be perfectly suitable for going to wonderland. You should wear running shoes to be most safe, some rides won't let you take off your flip flops, so I agree how it might be a bit dangerous. However, I just went to Wonderland a few days ago, and wore my flip flops. x) Nothing happened, but I had to hold onto the flip flops tightly between my toes. You could wear them, but to be really safe, running shoes or sandals with buckles/etc. would be best.

Bring a small bag or backpack for all your belongings. Remember not to bring a really fancy bag/backpack (like a Coach bag or something that looks or is expensive). I know somebody who had an expensive bag stolen, so you shouldn't have to go worrying about that. In my bag, I really just put in my cellphone, water bottle (you'll really need that, it might be a really hot day. And drinks there are expensive), wallet (I brought about $25$, it was enough to last me half a poutine, mac and cheese, and grilled cheese. XD) Hahas, although yeah, food and drinks there ARE expensive, so if you would like, you could bring your own lunch, or make something with your friends beforehand to bring. Just make sure not to overspend or buy anything too overpriced, and you'll be fine. Make sure you have your seasons pass or wonderland ticket with you too, it would suck if you forgot it. That happened once to a friend of mine -o-

If you intend to go to the water area, or go on rides such as Riptide, White Water Canyon, or Timberwolf Falls, you should also bring a towel, swimsuit (for Splashworks), and if you want, extra shirt/pants just in case you feel too uncomfortable with wet clothing on. I was soaked after Timberwolf Falls, hahas.

So really, for Wonderland, you should mainly remember to bring these in a bag/backpack:
- Water
- Money
- Sunscreen
- Cellphone, if you have one
- Lunch (optional)
- Towel (optional)
- Swimsuit (optional)
- Extra shirt or pants (optional)

It's alright, everything will probably go smoothly. Have a great time! (:

How do you bring lunch in high school?

Matt L

Do I have to carry around my backpack in high school?
***please read until the end***
i'm going into grade 9 tomorrow, do I have to carry around my backpack from class to class in ontario, canada, or do i get to go to my locker every period to get the things i need for the next class?

and should i bring notebooks AND binders the first day?

and also, How do you bring lunch in high school?
I'm a freshman in ontario, canada. school starts tomorrow. i've only been attending a private school my whole life but i'm going to a public high school so i don't know what the differences are. for lunch, up until now, EVERYONE carried this lunch bag at my privaet school:
http://goshopping.thestar.com/shop/produâ¦

which their parents packed.. now i'm going to a public high school so i have no idea how the other kids pack.

so MY QUESTION: how do kids pack their lunches in canadian PUBLIC high schools? like in a plastic bag, a brown paper bag, or just the insulated bags i showed you?? or do most kids just buy their lunches from the school cafeteria? how do kids eat on the first day of high school??

so would it be okay to bring a lunch bag like above or would people think i'm a little kid or something?

if you could answer ALL of my questions, that would be GREATLY appreciated.
THANK YOU!
may the best, thorough answer get the 10 points they deserve....

Answer
LOL!! I'm starting grade 9 tomorrow too. Well I'm going to an all girls school. My answers are going to be correct because I know people in Grade 10 and 11 so ya. Yes, you have to carry your bag around the school. Don't make trips to the locker during class changing time or you'll get late. Bring everything with you. The 1st day you might not need your books and stuff, but just in case bring them. For lunch no one packs their lunch in a specific way. Its all different.
Don't worry!

Healthy Recipes that are also filling?

Adam W

I've been working all summer on improving my diet, limiting how much I eat, and working out more. Until the recent flood (in Toronto) I was running several times a week and I've lost a bit of weight. But my BMI is still in the High Zone so there is room for improvement.

I'm working full-time so there's not a lot of time left for food preparation. I also take a bagged lunch with a lunchmeat-sandwich every day, so if I could find a better option I'd use that. I also eat a Fibre cereal for breakfast and supper is wildcard depending on what my parent's cook.

I'm also using an app that tracks my Nutritional information based on foods I eat, and I'm quite concerned about my Sodium intake. Health Canada recommends 1,500 mg of salt a day and I'm usually in the 4,500 range. Another concern, I never get enough Protein in my diet.

I'm looking for healthy, tasty foods that I can incorporate or replace my staples with. Basically I need:
-Book Suggestions
-Recipes or link to recipes
-Low sodium, High protein
-I cannot eat Fish, Grapefruit, Pineapple, or Tropical fruits

Answer
cookinglight.com & theskinnyconfidential.com have some good recipes.

What is a safe container to bring lunch in?

Alyce

I bring brown rice and veggies, sometimes protein.

I don't want to use plastic or aluminum due to the problems associated with them.

Is my only totally safe option, glass? Do they have stainless steel food containers? Can you provide a link to a place that sells them?

Thank you.

Answer
glass, if you buy a good brand, doesnt actually break that easily if that is what you are worried about. im a 13 year old that brings her lunch in a glass container, in a grocery bag, that also drops her backpack on the ground when she gets home. my container is fine. no scratches or cracks. it doesnt keep much heat in, though.

mine is from lock and lock. i think its available in most chinese supermarkets.
( i live in toronto, canada )

I'm feeling nervous about my 7 hour flight tomorrow?

lunch bags for work canada image

not specif

I wasn't worried about the flight until today. I'm flying from Toronto (Pearson intl) to amsterdam (schiphol) and I'm not to sure what this feeling is lol I'm not to sure if its because I just ate a lot of food for lunch or if its because I'm anxious or nervous about the flight. I'm not scared of heights and I'm not worried about a plane crash because I know that basically never happens. How do I ease this tension I've suddenly come upon?

Thanks for the help!

Answer
I can answer this one! I just had an 18 hr flight with layover from US to Montreal to England and 15 hrs back from Italy to Germany to Montreal to US. Don't worry about the food. I ate a lot and
I was fine. I assume your flying Air Canada? They have complementary puke bags if you need them in the pocket in front of you. If you do need to puke I say get it over with asap so that the rest of the time you'll be fine. My flight was really smooth though and only a pregnant women had any trouble. Also Air Canada has these telescreens you can watch movies on so just plug in and forget your on the plane. Falling asleep helps to. If the turbulence scares you just grab the arm rest and grit your teeth. Don't worry, you'll do fine :)
