I would love to be able to take a bottle with expressed milk to the shops or when we are going somewhere that breastfeeding is a little akward. Can I store the bottle in one of those insulated bottle bags? Can I maybe take the frozen breast milk bags and sterilised bottles and heat when needed? I am not sure how long I can keep it out of the freezer before it is ruined. Thanks :-)

Answer
Yes, you can do this.

Freshly expressed breast milk can be left out at room temperature for at least six hours.

Frozen breast milk can be stored in the fridge for 24 hours once it's thawed. Frozen milk loses some of its immune properties and isn't as resilient to bacterial growth as fresh milk is. It would be fine to tote it along in a small insulated bag (like a lunch kit) with an ice pack to prevent it from thawing too quickly. For both of my kids, I've also brought along a thermos of hot water to heat bottles in once they were ready to eat.

Refer to this chart and the accompanying article - it will help you figure out how to store and transport your milk:

What do you keep in your bag for school?

Not just what YOU carry, but what anyone would carry in their purse/tote/backpack... List EVERYTHING you can come up with (but still makes sense) and please number them, because whoever lists the most gets best answer.

I put this in the Adolescent section because I want answers from high school kids.

How does one transport lunch to school and still be totally cool ?

DK

My 5th grade, 10 yo son doesn't want to take his lunch box to school in fear of looking like a nerd. The lunch box is plain, no charactures. How else can he transport the lunch and still be totally cool ?

Answer
What are the other 5th graders using? My 5th and 6th graders still use lunch boxes, but so do their classmates. When we can't find our lunchboxes, we use brown paper lunch bags (though they are kind of small if you want to send a bev. and tend to break if you have an apple or other large fruit), or plastic grocery sacks. The downside of these options is the fruit bruises and the lunch gets warm, maybe even dangerously warm. String cheese and go-gurts can be frozen, and this helps to keep the lunch cooler. Or put the lunch in a paper bag inside the insulated lunchbag in his backpack. At lunchtime, voila! His lunch is cool and he is too!

What is the best commuter bag for a male in his 30's commuting to a professional job?

Tony

Obviously, the messenger bags are popular, but how practical are they? I will be carrying a change of shoes, a planner, my lunch, etc.. I think the plan is to possibly leave a more professional looking bag in the office for meetings and such. Are most commuters using more practical packs to get to the office? I'm new to the train/city culture!

Answer
I work in Downtown Honolulu, so there are lots of bankers and lawyers. Many carry leather or high quality nylon messenger bags. Some carry duffle bags or backpacks. Really, I would worry more about how the items you want to carry fit than what it looks like. You're probably not going to take that bag to meetings anyway; it's just for commuting.

The messenger bag will hold the things you're talking about, but the bag will look full, stuffed. A backpack is good because it's usually a larger size in width and height. It won't bulge as much as the messenger bag, which is usually not very wide. Duffles are good, like the backpack, but because they hang lower if you have a lot of stuff, it might make your shoulder sore.

I'd go with the backpack. The one I use has an insulated section on the bottom for my lunch and the top portion is like a regular backpack. Really convenient so that I don't have to carry my purse and lunch box separately from the backpack.

How much should infant/toddler clothes cost at a yard sale?

NEWTOME

I'm having my first yard sale soon and I'd like to group the clothes by size and just ask a flat price per item. If I charge $.25 a piece, I won't make much. but $1 a piece is too much. I think, sometimes, people charge a flat price for how ever much you can stuff into a lunch bag.

What do you think? What's a reasonable price per item or bag?

I've got everything from infant sizes (including socks and hats) to 24mos.

Thanks!

Answer
I always make a $.25 table, and put odds and ends on it that aren't in the best shape. For newer name brand outfits I usually put anywhere from $2-4 .....
Coats in good condition you can go up to$5-6 ..let people make offers.
It all depends on what shape the clothing is in ...I will spend more on a nice, newer item ....good luck !

What are some good lunch ideas for my toddler?

Sexxylexi

I feel as though I feed my toddler nothing but carbs. for example, mac and cheese, those pastas that you add butter and water to, sandwhiches (bread), chicken nuggests, etc. Does anyone have any ideas of what I can feed my daughter for lunch that doesn't have carbs in it? Or things that aren't heavy like those pastas and stuff. Please list things with no carbs and also I take her to work with me so I pack her lunch every single day but I do have a microwave at work. Thanks for all the help.

Answer
Get her hooked on fresh fruit and veggies. You can wash grapes and bag them in advance for the week. Carrot sticks are great too, and kids love dip. Every child needs carbs, so don't totally eliminate them from her diet. She should have whole grain crackers or breads with her lunches. Cottage cheese and yogurt are also great ideas. Sliced apples with peanut butter dip would be good, and with protein. Chicken breast cut into strips is a good choice to add with the protein. There are so many things you can do with veggies, fruits, and lean meats. Just cut them up so they're easy for her to eat, and make sure to include carbs, too. Good luck!

Can I carry a can of Ensure past TSA?

BOB PHX

I am diabetic, and recently started to take injection medicine that must be kept cold. I have an insulated lunch bag that I keep it in, along with Frozen Gel Packs. I also tell the X-Ray screener what it is, and no problem.

My question is, that I would like to carry a can of Ensure, which is a "meal replacement" when you don't have time to eat, but don't want your blood sugar to drop dangerously. Since it's technically not medicine, I want to know if I can keep a can of it in my lunch bag with my medicine?

IMPORTANT: I would like to hear from OTHERS who have done this, and what the results were. In all due respect, I am not interested in hearing from those who are SPECULATING, unless you are a TSA or Airport Employee.

Answer
I have not tried the Ensure (although that is a good idea) but I have gotten juice boxes through TSA with minimal problems.

Being a type 1, I will not travel without something with me for low sugars, especially now that most airlines do not serve food on domestic flights...at least they don't serve more than a snack and a bag of peanuts doesn't cut it.

TSA questioned me as to why I had juice boxes and graham crackers. I explained I was a diabetic and that it was needed in case I had an insulin reaction. I showed my Medic Alert card and I was allowed through. The juice and crackers was in a small lunch bag that fit into my backpack.

I also had an empty water bottle. The bottle sailed through inspection and I just filled it up at a water fountain near my gate. Easy.

Have a medical alert ID and if possible, a note from your doctor. Diabetics have the right to keep any necessary supplies with them at all times. Assert that right.

Walmart, Target, Kroger, Walgreens, Dollar stores.
I don't think a thermos will work, they have to be filled with either hot or cold liquid.

I spilled wax on a rug, and tried removing it with a warm iron over brown paper, but spots remain, any ideas?

I tipped over a tart warmer on my living room carpet and spilled quite a bit of hot wax. I tried the method of running a warm iron over a brown paper lunch bag coving the spots and it did help a bit, but it didn't remove all the wax, and you can still see the spots.

Answer
REMOVE WAX FROM CARPETING

Place a paper towel over the stain and draw the wax up into it by placing a warm iron over the paper towel (this is called "capillary action"); repeat if necessary. Sponge the stained area with 1 c. isopropyl alcohol and 2-3 c. water if the stain remains. Sponge from the outside to the inside of the stain. Be very sure not to get the area too wet or you can bring up a stain from the padding.

If you tried using soap before this technique or anytime you've used soap to clean a carpet, be sure to use a diluted solution of vinegar and water to thoroughly blot the soap out of the carpet. If you don't remove all the soap, dirt will be attracted to the stain like a magnet, making things all the worse.

Good luck. Remember if all else fails, call a professional carpet cleaner. They have special solvents to remove wax.

How can I "brown bag" a lunch in a professional office?

~ Jamie ~

To save money, I'd like to pack a lunch and bring snacks with me to my job. Years ago, I would just throw food into a plastic grocery bag. I have a higher level position now, and don't want to bring anything tacky. The brown paper "lunch" bags are not large enough. How does everyone else bring their lunches? Is there a streamlined, insulated bag that is plain and professional looking?

Answer
I've seen a lot of women put lunch, drinks, snacks, etc in gift bags and take it to work.

I've been out of the loop for a while. Are Siggs still a big deal or have they been passed up? It seems like most water bottles we find end up with a slow drip when on their sides after just a few uses.

Answer
Ha! You've come to the right place, I happen to be anal about water bottles and have been on a big campaign to find a water bottle that a) is leak proof, b) is thermal and c) the kids can actually open by themselves.

I love the contigo stainless steel ones.
http://www.gocontigo.com/autoseal-stainless-steel-kids-cup.html

S'well also makes insulated leak-proof bottles for kids, but I'm not sure how easy they would be to open. I actually e-mailed the company to ask if their bottles are leak PROOF and they are.
https://store.swellbottle.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=TWB

Kleen Kanteen makes good ones but the sport bottles are not leak proof, they even say that on their website.

My kids are 3 and 6 and wouldn't be able to easily open a bottle that has to be screwed on and off, so we chose contigo. They've been shoved in back packs, dance bags, gym bags, lunch bags, and never leaked.

EDIT- Apparently we have a water-bottle-hater in our midst, LOL! Lots of thumbs downs!

Low-fat Yogurt with fruit or a bit of granola on top.

Whole-wheat pretzels dipped in spicy mustard.

Rice cakes â Spread with natural peanut butter and top with banana slices or raisins.

Whole wheat cheese sandwich â Cut it in half for a smaller snack.

Turkey and cheese wrap made with a whole wheat tortilla â Skip the mayonnaise and fill it up with plenty of lettuce and tomatoes instead.

Fresh fruit â Great portable fruit includes apples, pears, peaches and bananas.

Chicken salad wrap made with low-fat mayonnaise â Add sprouts, lettuce, grated carrots, and tomatoes for added nutrition.

Apple slices topped with low-fat cheese.

Celery sticks topped with cream cheese or peanut butter and raisins

Dried nuts and raisins mix â For added interest, include a few M&Ms for your kids and call it âTrail Mixâ. Low-sugar, dry cereal works well in this also.

Raw veggies â Goes great with low-fat ranch dip.

Salad (pack dressing separately) â Customize it with your favorite raw vegetables, sandwich meats, cheeses and egg for a filling snack or lunch.

Baked tortilla chips and salsa â Easy to pack. Be sure to look for a low-sodium version of the tortilla chips.

Low-fat cheese and whole wheat tortilla quesadilla â Add some chicken or turkey if desired.

Pita bread â Fill with your favorite hummus and fresh veggies.

Fruit smoothie â Make your own with frozen fruit and low-fat yogurt. Carry this with you in an insulated mug.

Air popped popcorn â Always a great snack, but be sure to choose a brand with low sodium and no butter.

Cup of dry low-sugar cereal â You can package these in small sized sandwich (zippered) bags as a great (almost) mess-free portable snack.

Whole-grain crackers â Top these with cheese, lean sandwich meat, tuna or peanut butter.

Sunflower seeds â These yummy seeds make another great portable snack. For a bit of variety, you can also mix with other nuts and seeds.

Fat-free pudding cups â Sold in a wide variety of flavors and available in single serving cups, these are great for those on the go snacks.

Gelatin fruit cups â Available as single serving cups, pick your favorite fruits. Of course you can also make your own with gelatin and plenty of diced fruit.

Cottage cheese â Eat it plain or topped with fresh fruit. You can choose low-fat cottage cheese for a healthier version.

Bran or banana muffins â Make your own and substitute the oil with apple sauce for a great healthy snack.

Low-fat string cheese â String cheese makes another great portable snack. Eat it alone or mix it up by wrapping some thin sliced ham or salami around it.

Dried Fruit â You can find anything from apples to pineapples dried. They make a great sweet and crunchy snack. Banana chips are also always a great option.

Edamame â These are soy beans in their shell. Steam them and top with a bit of salt or lemon juice.

Apple sauce â Apple sauce is available in single serving cups and comes in a few different flavors.

Natural, all-fruit leathers â These are a great healthy alternative to sugar snacks like fruit rollups.

Cereal bars â You can choose from all kinds of different low-sugar cereal bars.

Low-fat or soy milk â A cup of milk can make a very filling snack on the go.

Chocolate dipped strawberries â If you have a chocolate craving, dip some strawberries or other fresh fruit into melted dark chocolate for a yummy and healthy treat.

Tofu smoothie with fruit â Blend silken tofu with frozen fruit into a creamy smoothie.

Animal Crackers â These are low-sugar cookies kids are sure to love. Serve them with a glass of milk.

Fruit and Cheese Kabobs â Alternate chunks of fresh fruit and cheese cubes and thread them on a bamboo skewer for a fun and healthy snack.

Cooked Sweet Potato â Just cut it up in chunks. They are delicious warm or cold.

Avocado chunks â If the avocado gets very ripe and âsquishyâ, spread it on some whole wheat toast, just like you would butter.

Lettuce Wraps â Take a large leaf of lettuce and top it with raw veggies, ham or turkey and a little low-fat ranch dressing. Wrap up and serve.

Moms who breastfeed and work.....?

Loren

I was given an Ameda Purley Yours by my co-worker. I am only 32 weeks pregnant currently, but I am trying to be prepared! I have a toddler at home and way too busy to be unprepared. Anyway, the bag that she gave me is not only huge and unsightly but the zipper is broken so she had manufactured velcro so secure it shut. I am way too clumsy to rely on Velcro seal on the breast pump so I called around and found out it will be $45 to $60 to fix, not worth it. I found a small diaper bag at Kohl's today that has an insulated portion to store food. Do you think it will work out fine to store my milk?

I plan on returning to work after 8/10 weeks.
Shannon - Unfortunately no...it is the discontinued pump, although they all apear to be the same with different bags. The one I have stores the pump and sheilds up top and then has to comparts down on the bottom for milk storage.

Answer
of course! I just used a little backpack thing that I got from Universal Studios, lol. I put my milk in an insulated lunch bag in the fridge. I think what you found at Kohls will work just fine! And be less conspicuous!

kids lunch bags at walmart image
Q. I would be starting the first semester on Monday and I am utterly clueless as to what to expect. I am hoping you will shed some light on what to pack, how to act and some hints as what to avoid. Basically any help offered would be greatly appreciated!

Answer
IF you have a car, don't advertise it. People will glom onto you because you have one and you will find yourself with a ton of 'friends' who will be hitting you up for rides and wanting you tobe the designated driver. Be warned.

If you have money, same warning. People glom onto that, too. Don't grunge it up, but don't over dress either. Play it casual. Definitely don't take a top of the line computer or stereo to college with you . Things sometimes have a tendency to 'walk' out of dorm rooms when you aren't looking.

Schedule, if possible , at least an hour on your long days for a lunch period. You'll need it. On LONG days, I loved it when I could schedule 3 hours, then I'd take an alarm clock, curl up for a nap in a private cubicle in the library and take a power nap. REALLY helped, let me tell you. I had classes that semester from 7 a.m. til 5p.m. so that nap was awesome. I'd grab a sandwich, take a nap , then re-read what was assigned and be fresh for class. It was great.

Don't take any cherished items from home that you would be broken hearted if they got stolen or broken to the dorm with you. Kids away from home tend to go a little nuts and aren't as respectful of each others things as they should be and accidents happen. So leave grammy's quilt at home , at least til Junior year, when you're sharing an apartment with some trusted friends or something.

IF you are going to buy a microwave/coffee maker or whatever for your room, don't just go to walmart or whaever, and buy those cutesy little trendy colored pieces of junky appliances that are so popular right now. No. Invest in a good, solid microwave and coffee maker. One that will LAST more than a semester and won't be a fire hazzard. I looked at some of those trendy little disposable units the other day and was absolutely shocked at how cheap and dangerously made they were. Downright scarey. Seriously so. And instead of a toaster, get a toaster oven, much more versatile. You can a lot more with one in the same amount of space. Use your head. You might pay a little more but you GET more out of it.

And as far as that goes -- a coffee pot makes excellent iced tea... just put tea bags ( 4 individual tea bags makes 2 quarts of tea ) in where the coffee goes , brew with 2 cups of hot water and sweeten to taste. I personally put 1.5. cups of sugar to 2 quarts of strongly brewed tea, pour it over ice and it makes almost a gallon of sweet tea for me and my friends once the ice dilutes it. No stove needed, no special tea pot needed.

SO, there are some of my survival tips for you.

What would you buy for a week's worth of groceries, staying under $125?

Q. For 2 adults and 2 kids, 5 and 6.
I need dinner for 5 nights, things for packed lunches, snacks and drinks.
Please help me make a list. I suck at grocery shopping. I always run out of food before the week's over. I'll be shopping at Walmart.
Thanks!

Answer
Firstly, shop generic.

I can't make a full list for you, but I can recommend you concentrate on the staple items-- pastas, bread, milk, cheese, eggs, grains, fruits and vegetables.

Pre-packaged foods will usually give you less bang for your buck, although we've had good experiences buying canned vegetables (because we often don't use fresh ones quickly enough) from our local Aldi grocery store. Walmart's canned "Great Value" brand should be of similar quality and probably similar price. But on the other staple items, especially milk, eggs and bread, even Walmart can't touch Aldi's prices where we live-- 39 cents for a dozen large eggs, $2.19 for a gallon of whole milk (and less for 2% and even less still for skim), and 79 cents per loaf of bread.

Stay away from pre-packaged lunches (Lunchables, for example) for your kids. You'll come out much cheaper if you make them a good sandwich and give them a few pretzels or chips as a side item. Invest in reusable containers for everyone who takes a lunch to school or work in your family. You need at least a good sandwich container and a good side-dish container for everyone. I'd also suggest a good drink container and I encourage your family to fall back in love with water and/or Kool-Aid type drinks as they're cheap and relatively healthy compared to soda-- especially if you're currently purchasing drinks (probably sodas) at school or work from a vending machine.

Another thing we like to do to save money is to make large quantities beyond what we'll normally eat in one sitting, then eat the leftovers for lunch or for supper the next day. For example, we make a large pot of spaghetti Sunday night and have enough leftovers to make our lunch from a couple of days through the week. Or we'll make a large salad (stay away from the pre-mixed bag salads) and store it in a large, sealed bowl in the fridge to be eaten with dinner for three or four days.

Come up with a meal plan over the weekend. Decide what you want to have for dinner the next five days-- don't just wing it. That's what will kill your grocery budget in no time. So make a plan for what you're going to cook this week for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and then buy the ingredients as cheaply as possible. It's really pretty simple. A typical week's grocery list for us looks something like this:

-Gallon of milk
-Loaf of bread
-Box of cereal
-Bag of chips (tortilla) or pretzels (low-sodium)
-Meat items, as necessary for week's meal plan. We're typically heavy beef eaters, followed by pork, chicken and rarely fish, in that order. We buy the meat from a local grocer whose quality and prices beat the big box stores like Walmart hands-down. Look into your locally owned grocer-- you may be pleasantly surprised.
-Canned items, as necessary for week's meal plan. These can be soups, vegetables, or fruit items.
-Lunch meat (whatever we can get for less than $2.50-- but pay attention to the weight to make sure you're getting the best per-pound price!)
-Cheese slices, as necessary
-Shredded cheese, as necessary
-Pastas, as necessary (mac and cheese is big at our house)
-Fresh fruits as a snack item (good way to change things up for you and your kids), whatever is on sale. If no good deals, stick to things that are relatively cheap such as bananas.
-Fresh vegetables as necessary for week's meal plan.
-Dozen eggs
-Frozen orange juice, if needed (much cheaper than buying by the half-gallon or gallon, and in our experience the Aldi brand is just as good as most orange juice that is sold "in the jug.")
-A few frozen items, as necessary. (We might buy a frozen pizza or a bag of frozen pot roast-friendly veggies to fix in a pinch.)
-A few snack items for the wife's lunchbox (crackers, cookies-- she has a better metabolism than I do.)
-Any condiments (mustard, mayo) as necessary
-Any seasonings (Mrs. Dash, BBQ rub, etc.) as necessary

That's a typical checklist we'll go over before we make our real grocery list, which changes from week to week. Some weeks (since it's just me and the wife, I guess), we don't spend more than a few bucks at the grocery store. Then usually once a month, we have a big weekend where we have to replenish the meat in our freezer and/or buy the long-term shelf items such as peanut butter and condiments. Still, our biggest grocery tab comes to just north of $100 for the two of us. Then the typical weekly is less than $70 after that until the next big replenishment weekend.

THEY CAN"T EAT THROUGH CLOTHES THOUGH< RIGHT? If it is a carcuss in there, it's gonna be HARD to find!
LMAO to the catholic priest! LOL

Answer
Ask a Catholic Priest to perform an exorcism on your garage. (just kidding)

Seriously though, there's probably a source that's attracting them to your garage. So until you find that source, no matter how many flies you exterminate, more of them will keep returning to your garage.

HERE'S A LIST OF POSSIBLE SOURCES:

* Dead Critter carcass that hid itself somewhere before it died.
* A bag of perishable groceries that you forgot to bring into the house.
* Leftovers from a bag of lunch gone rotten that you forgot to bring back in when you got home from work.
* If you have an old refrigerator or freezer in your garage, it might not be draining water from the auto-defrost cycle properly and settling somewhere hidden on the floor of the garage.
* A rotten smelling floor drain.

I think it's most likely something rotten. That's what flies like. Sometimes you can't always smell anything because of a draft that keeps the air around it from moving to the areas you typically walk through. Sniff around outside of your garage to try to locate where the flies are noticing it. This might clue you in better to where the source is coming from.

How To Spend Less At The Grocery Store, and make cheaper meals?

Mom to Bel

Just looking for some advice on some good cheap meals to make. My husband and I are pretty tight on money lately, and i have two little kids to feed as well. every time i go to the store and buy fo od, i always end up spending way more than i expect. I'm kinda and impulse shopper, when it comes to food. lol. anyway, i'm making a list of only essential foods and ingredients i need. trying to make decent meals for as cheap as possible. and meat is so expensive. any tips. thanks.

Answer
I used to make a menu, then figure out exactly what I needed for the ingredients, then made a list, and then went to the grocery. I don't need to do that anymore, likely the recipe is in my head, so all I do these days is write down meat loaf, and I know what to buy and have on hand for it.
I include snacks, and especially at this time of the year, I make sure emergency foods are on the list, or already here in the house. And everything I want and need goes onto that list. And yes, I budget a couple bucks extra to take care of forgetfulness. I will bet you all that I get home next week without the Comet cleanser that I need.
We got freezing ice last eve, and we are not going anywhere today, trust me. I have adequate food in the house, I have meat loaf and mashed potatoes leftover for lunch.

And I budget for one treat that was not on the list, in case I find a bargain or a sale that I did not know about. A treat does not have to be something sugar laden, it could be a pound of hamburger and some house brand taco chips for a layered mexican casserole I make.

One way is to not put your groceries on a credit or debit card, to use only cash. and when the cash runs out, no more Ding dongs or chocolate covered donuts. You know how much to take out of the bank after you make your list.
Another way is to take time to look at the ads from all the stores, and buy what is on sale. Buy only items that are on sale, and plan your menu right from the sale ads.

When something you use a lot is on sale, buy more than one. Especially canned goods, since they keep for a long time.

Shop at the discount stores as much as possible, some things stay cheaper than at the regular stores. But watch! Rivers gets a huge sack of generic O cereal for > $3, even the discount grocery could not touch that price. And before Xmas I got cream cheese for $,88, and sour cream and onion dip for that price, too.
And Walmart had hot dogs for $.88 last time I was there.

Some tips. Eliminate soda pop from the menu. Empty calories. Eliminate juice form the menu. Whole fruits are healthier, and full of fiber, and juice does not fill us up as well as whole fruit does.

Forget the high priced snacks and treats . The name brand donuts are how much on sale? Yikes, go get some out of the store's donuts out of the case for way cheaper. And even cheaper? Skip the donuts, and go home and make french toast from your getting stale loaf of bread.
You paid what for a cake from the bakery? Go get some brownie mix on sale, and make a batch of brownies. Even if you frost them, still way cheaper than a bought cake. Save treats like that for BDs and holidays.

Cut chickens up yourself. It is not hard to do, and it saves big bucks when the butcher does not cut it up. Cook from scratch whenever possible, and do not ever buy any kind of pasta in the frozen food aisle, you can make a barrel full of spagetti for what one pkg of frozen pasta costs.

And when temptation strikes, when those Zingers just look so good, I keep walking. And I save my treat for last, and go make a special trip to get it, since it is often ice cream.

Go to a recipe site like allrecipes, and go through the recipes. Look for one you might like, that looks cheap to make.

And use loss leader items like bananas a lot, make banana quick bread, save some to make french toast with, cut nannars up on cereal, or serve nannars and sugar and milk as part of breakfast. . Stores keep prices on certain items cheap so you will come back. Things like generic bread, or those big bags of cereal like Rivers found[this is my fifth one, and it takes weeks for me to eat the whole bag]. Think up uses, look for recipes to utilize the cheap prices.
$.33 bread? Make garlic bread, french toast, toast some hot sandwiches, Mom made stewed tomatoes with torn bread in them. Now is the time to make meat balls with milk bread in them for the freezer, or make bread pudding or stuffing. ,

Good lunch ideas that don't need to be kept cool or heated?

insulated lunch bag container store on ... TUPPERWARE TRENDY LUNCH BOX Set + INSULATED BAG + Tropical Container
insulated lunch bag container store image

Snarly

I need to start packing a lunch when I go back to work in January because buying lunch each day is costing me too much and is not good for my waistline.... my only problem is I am really fussy with packed lunch. For example, whenever I put an ice pack in to keep it cool, it makes my sandwiches soggy so they don't get eaten. So now I can't put an ice pack in. I also can't heat anything at work.

So far I have got popcorn and juice packs to take, but I am looking for something more substantial to put with it!

Answer
We have a microwave & a fridge, but I keep some things at room temperature to eat them lukewarm after cooking them in the morning & eating half of it for breakfast. For instance,
curried rice & veggies & cooked apples with raisins or chopped dates & spices
Trader Joe's frozen entrees in bags, stir fried in the morning with extra steamed veggies added
warm or cold mac 'n cheese with steamed veggies added
oatmeal with apples & raisins (still good, milk or not)
all or half of a sweet potato baked that morning
Any of those can be dished up into plastic lidded containers placed in bread wrappers if needed.
Another possibility is a small wide-mouth thermos to keep them warm. If you have any doubts about the safety of what I'm doing, then by all means be safe & put cooked food in a wide-mouth thermos. In fact, that's what you'll often see the outdoors workers eating from so they'll have hot soup with their sandwiches.

Others can be taken out of the fridge in the morning & kept for several hours without much danger. Blue ice could be taken with them if you feel the need. Sandwiches can be in plastic sandwich boxes or in bread wrappers.

cheese sandwiches
cucumber & cheese sandwich--cut into fourths & put a slice of cucumber & a sprig of cilantro onto each fourth.
hummus sandwich--vinegar in hummus works well as a preservative.
almond butter & low sugar fruit preserves
cheese sandwich on pita bread with ruffly lettuce
crackers & cheese
bagel & cream cheese
homemade oatmeal muffins or cookies
I always use soy mayo (Nayonnaise) because I figure that it's less likely to spoil than a standard egg mayonnaise. Other possibilities are oil and herbs on the bread and/or a sprinkle of vinegar

Other items from the fridge can be in serving size containers or in plastic bags with twist ties. For example,
baby carrots or carrot sticks
olives
cashews, blanched almonds, or mixed nuts
plain yogurt with cardamom, cinnamon, or garam masala stirred into it
pasta salad made on the weekend
bean salad made on the weekend
a whole avocado--peel & slice at lunch & hope that it's good.
the usual apple, banana, or other fruit

I also take frozen things for the microwave & confess that even after eating breakfast, I still want to eat some of these quick lunch items at morning break & will still be ready for lunch by the time noon rolls around. It saves time & money not to rush off to the coffee shop for a chocolate muffin or a bagel.

Plain yogurt can be made overnight in a wide-mouth thermos. Heat the milk to 180 degrees then cool it down to around 95-110. (I've seen some disagreement about the 2nd temp.) Pour into a hot thermos & add a big spoonful of plain yogurt as a starter. Use a good brand from the health food store as the starter. Stir on the lid, wrap in a dish towel, & place in an insulated nylon container to keep it warm overnight. The next morning, with a little bit of luck, you'll have fresh yogurt in your thermos. It's a variation on an ancient miracle. Carry it in the thermos or put it into a little lighter weight plastic container. Over time, even plain yogurt starts to taste sweet.

Also note that the Japanese people use divided containers called Bento Boxes & have made quite an art out of packing these with a variety of dishes. After hearing about these, now the makers of plastic carriers in America have followed suit, so now you can find similar divided dishes in our big box stores, some with spaces for blue ice beneath the food. If you want to buy any sort of lunch bag or container, you'll find the best selection in the late summer when parents are buying school supplies for their kids. Other times of the year, it may be a little hard to find the insulated bags that you want.

Aside from all that fancy stuff, some of us just toss our food into some sort of cloth tote bag & head off to work. For more food, I may use a tote bag with a small cardboard box I've set inside, a good idea, too, if some things are best kept upright to avoid leakage. It's best if these bags get washed every weekend. Have an extra bag in case one is still drip drying. Forget any ironing. No one cares. Commercial cloth lunch bags may have cute sayings like, "Brown Bag," but I usually want something a little bigger than that with handles on it. I get really hungry when I'm at work. Don't forget your toothbrush btw.

How can I keep a salad fresh until lunch time?

Wolfsoul

I plan to start taking salads to work for lunch (Yay healthy stuff) but I'm worried it might wilt or go bad before I get to eat it. We have a fridge at work so as soon as I get in the building it's going there. Will that be fine or are there extra things I should do to make sure it doesn't taste like crap?

Answer
I often brought salad for lunch. Dry your rinsed greens and pack them separately in a Ziploc bag or container. Add a piece of paper towel to absorb moisture. Pack your wet ingredients like tomatoes separately. Onions, radishes, cucumber can be packed together in a separate Ziploc bag or plastic container. If adding canned fish, leftover chicken or meat or store bought cold cuts or hard boiled eggs, pack them separately. You can also keep a can opener in your desk and bring 3 oz. cans of canned tuna or salmon to top your salad. Pack salad dressings separately or keep a bottle or 2 of your favorite dressing in the fridge if their is room. If your commute is over 30 minutes, pack your salad Ziplocs and/or plastic containers in an insulated bag. Keep a fork, knife and bowl in your desk or use plastic. You just dump your ingredients into the bowl when you are ready to eat and you can prepare and pack all the ingredients the night before.

Healthy meal and snack ideas for teenagers? + BQ's?

Beccy

Hey, I'm a 13 year old girl and I will be 14 this year. I always say that I need To eat healthier, but now I'm really going to do it. I don't need to lose weight, i am VERY small for my age, I just want to be good to my body. I have learnt about diabetes and heart disease and other medical conditions, and that really scares me so I want to look after my self to prevent those things rather than having to deal with them,
So I wanted to know some healthy ideas for breakfast, lunch and snacks. I take my lunch to school in an insulated lunchbox with ice bricks, but some stuff still manages to not stay cold. So stuff that doesn't need to be kept cold would be great but I don't really mind.
BQ 1- what do you eat as a source of protein?
BQ 2- i would like to build up some muscle and get fitter and more flexible. What do you do to keep fit, and do you have and home workout routines?
Thankyou so much!!! xo [ :

Answer
Since you are not focused on weight loss, you should be focusing on healthy snacks that are good protein sources and nutritious :)

-almonds, cashew, peanuts, ANY type of nut would be PERFECT for you
-natural peanut butter (put it on celery, on whole wheat bread, or with multi-grain crackers)
-granola...tastes great just in a bag but also with yogurt or vanilla soy milk when you can keep it cold
-whole grain bagel or english muffin with peanut butter/cream cheese/or jam
-veggies with hummus! It needs refrigerated but would be fine until lunch
-make spanish rice with whole grain rice, black beans, tomatoes and a pack of taco seasoning the night before.
-veggie sandwich with lettuce, tomato, cucumber, avocado, cheese, hummus, etc.

good luck :)

WHEN A BOTTLE OR CONTAINER SAYS THAT IT IS BPA FREE, WHAT DOES THAT MEAN; WHAT IS BPA?

cameronbyn

Answer
BPA is toxic plastic. Therefore when it says BPA FREE, it means you can drink out of it as long as you leave it out of the sun.
BPA FREE is safe plastic, but i would still recomend it isnt the best water bottle or container.
I say products of reusablebags.com work best because they dont harm you or the environment.
The only kind of water bottle that definitly can not harm the environment or you is the Klean Kanteen.
kleankanteen.com
They are portable and you can buy them on websites.
This is a Klean Kanteen.

This is a Klean Kanteen in a portable insulated case.
http://www.kleankanteen.com/products/accessories/klean-kanteen-totes.html
The case is recomended so you can attach it to a bag or carry it. I carry the medium sized one and attach it to my lunchbox in junior high school.
Plus if you want a better food container you should probably buy this one, because it can not harm you or the environment.

Hope you like my answer. Hope it was helpful and maybe you'll even buy these products. I buy from this website all the time and i've had the same built lunchbox for 4 years and it works great, no rips or color changes, it's very stretchy and I think that it's the best kind of lunchbox.
This is my lunchbox.

Not sure excatly what to take. It will be 80 degrees and more than likely the food has to stay in the backpack at least until lunch.

I was thinking of getting some lunchables, and a box of Capri Suns.

Any other suggestions? I don't want my kids to sick or the food to go bad in the bag.

Answer
I think I would try Peanut Butter and Jelly with Capri suns. I would worry about lunchables that have lunch meats in it. Either that or find a insulated lunch bag and put the sandwiches inside it with an ice pack. that should keep them until lunch time.

Can I store a bottle with express milk in an insulated nappy bag for a few hours?

ked.08

Good luck!

how much would the following things cost from walmart?

JT

i'm from the uk and will be travelling to orlando this year and i was just wondering how much these things would cost to buy from walmart?

minute maid lemonade light (bottle or carton) do they sell it in bulk?
bottles of water
snacks (chips, candy, fruit etc)

also, how much money do you think i will need to take if i want to buy food and drink everyday, a few souvenirs and clothes etc?

thankyou.

Answer
minute maid drinks come in a box of 10 for $2.17 (they use to be $1.97) .. it is not sold in bulk but if you have access to a BJs or Sams Club, you can purchase them there in bulk ... honestly, the Walmart is cheap enough since you will go there anyway ...

Water bottles... for 16.9 oz bottles, 24 bottles to the case, you can pay anywhere from $3.48 to $3.99. It just depends on what brand you want.. there is store brand, Zephyrihills, Deer Park, Nestle Pure Life and more...

Snacks... range in price... candy, same thing .. from bags of items for $1.00 and up .. there are just too many to choose from... fruit, reasonable...

You can buy Disney souvenirs from the Walmart on Lake Buena Vista, just outside of Disney on the 535 Road but IDK if you are going to SeaWorld or Universal... I would say average about $1,000 (US) but that depends on your family size ... or your budget.. some people can come and spend more, some can spend less.... Either way, your money is worth more here for you, good thing for you... Buy at Walmart.. your breakfast and lunch stuff/snacks to take to the park and eat a nice hot dinner out.. think about $65 for a family dinner for 4 -5 ... kids meals are about $4.99 - 6.99 per person, adults... well, wide range for dinner but would average it at $14.99 for adult nice dinner, fast food is obviously cheaper...

What is the Disney Dining Plan at Walt Disney World all about?

kids lunch bag tags on Personalised Transformers Keyring School Bag Lunch Box Bag ID Name Tag

Stinky Fee

I have read some websites about it but wanted details from people who have actually used it. Does it have to be part of a package? I booked the Disney land and cruise package and was wondering if I can add the dining plan to my days at the park. Also trying to find tips for saving money on food, snacks, and drinks at the park. I will be traveling with my husband and 3 and 5 year old. I am used to being able to bring lots of snacks, drinks, etc. into Disneyland park. Can you bring these things into WDW? Also, where is a place to get them nearby? We won't have carseats so we will be stuck on Disney property. Any ideas or tips? Thanks!

Answer
I am going to answer this in sections:

"I have read some websites about it but wanted details from people who have actually used it. Does it have to be part of a package? I booked the Disney land and cruise package and was wondering if I can add the dining plan to my days at the park"

Yes, it does have to be part of the package. The Disney Dining plan is an AMAZING deal. We used it on our last visit and saved a ton in addition to eating better than we ever have. You get one counter service, one snack, and one table service per person , per day. The table service CAN be a character meal! We ate character meals every night! For a family of four, that alone tops a hundred a day. The counter service for four people will usually run over thirty dollars, easy. We used our snack to purchase fruit bowls or something of the like for breakfast. We were SO FULL the entire time and like I said CHARACTER MEALS EVERY NIGHT! YAY!

"Also trying to find tips for saving money on food, snacks, and drinks at the park. I will be traveling with my husband and 3 and 5 year old. I am used to being able to bring lots of snacks, drinks, etc. into Disneyland park. Can you bring these things into WDW? "

My husband and I BOTH take backpacks into the park. In them we have sippee cups, snacks, often peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. I have no idea how many times we have been but they have always searched the bags and never said a word. I have even seen mothers sit down and pull out entire jars of peanut butter and jelly and make sandwiches within the park. Disney does not question their guests and you will find they are the most family friendly place you will ever go.

One great thing I did which saved a ton was to purchase Kool Aid and Crystal Lite singles. There are an abundance of water fountains in the park and the water is always icy cold. I take a rubbermaid drink bottle for everyone and mix drinks up throughout the day. The kids don't miss the cokes and such if they are getting Kool Aid!

Also, purchase as many souveniers ahead of time as possible. Go to Wal Mart and such. Mickey Mouse stickers, pens, shirts, iron ons, stuffed animals, etc. I usually spend about thirty bucks on things for each kid before I go and it saves a ton in the long run. Mickey leaves a "present" for each kid on their pillow every day. What I do is walk a little ahead of my husband on the way back to the hotel and put them out real quick. The presents are small, stickers or a pen or something. On the last day, I usually surprise them with something they spied in the park.

I HIGHLY reccomend purchasing an autograph book for EACH child. They are five dollars in the gift shops and you can bring your own pens (they suggest clickable sharpies as they are easier for the gloved characters to hold). This will be by far your cheapest and most memorable souvenier.

I purchased some name tags engraved with my kid's names at "the twelve days of Christmas" store in Disney Village and I love for us all to wear them. Often, the characters sign autographs to our children directly that way.

"We won't have carseats so we will be stuck on Disney property. Any ideas or tips? Thanks!"

There is no such thing as "stuck on Disney Property"!!! There are SO MANY THINGS TO DO!! You have no idea....
Go to Disney Village for a day if you find yourself bored, but truly we have not once been able to cram everything into a seven day trip. Unless you are going to be there for two weeks, I don't see it happening! ~smiles~

I would be sure to plan on a scheduled nap each day. Disney is very stimulating and it seems every kid has a little Disney meltdown daily. We always come back before lunch time. We have a bite to eat in our hotel or food court and then go rest for an hour or two before going back to the parks refreshed. The rest will be good for you and your husband too! If you are going in the hot season, it is always nice to have a change of clothing as what you have on will be soaked. (are you familiar with summers in the south?). Schedule the time you go back to your hotel WELL before the kids are tired and cranky.

Feel free to email me for more information. One thing I cannot reccomend enough is that you get a copy of the "Walt Disney World Passporter". That one book will make sure you get the most value out of your Disney vacation. It is filled with tips and information that you are certain not to know about! I buy the new one each year it comes out. It is my bible!

Here are several ideas enclosed: http://hubpages.com/hub/_BellaMevents_HIGHSCHOOLPROMKEEPSAKE

My favorite is the lunch tote to prepare the kids for college and/or work after high school. It does not have to be customized. I would leave it plain. The pattern fits both boys and girls. You can add a customized tag to each from a computer. "Class of 2011" on a circle tag with glitter to jazz it up is something different. Also they can be wrapped in cellophane. The back of the tag can have a quote about the memories together that go on during high school. Many were made during lunch :)

Also kids always want a snack of some sort after prom after a long night of dancing so thats why I say add a few mini variety pack of snack bags to them. 2 in each one

What are different ideas for packing lunches for my daughter?

insulated lunch bags and boxes image

Kylee Brui

My daughter just started kindergarten, and has started bring lunches to school. I never brought lunches to school, so I don't have any knowledge on different ideas.
I don't want to send her with just sandwiches, chips, carrots, ect everyday.. Any tips/ideas for different food that will stay good in her lunch bag until they eat? Thanks!

Answer
My kids take a variety of things. Sandwiches (but no peanut butter or any type of nut spread), a fun snack like cookies or chips, and a healthy snack like raisins or carrot sticks. I've also found that you can freeze yogurt or Go-gurt tubes, and pack them frozen. By lunch time, they are melted or semi-melted and still cold for the kids to eat. My daughters also like the mini cups of applesauce, single serve cups of pudding or even bags of dry cereal. A trick I use to keep things cold is to freeze the juice box and pack it frozen. Like the yogurt, it defrosts in the bag, but keeps the rest of the lunch cold. By lunch time, it's perfect to drink. I pack in an insulated, reusable lunch bag.

For sandwiches, the kids like jelly, lunch meats with cheese, grilled cheese served cold, the typical normal foods.

What are some school lunch ideas?

lakinny101

I am packing my lunch this year, because school lunches are gross. I need some ideas of lunches that will stay pretty fresh in a locker for a few hours. I don't want the hallway to stink because of my lunch.

Answer
Packing a lunch for school and/or work can be a challenge. Often times you donât have access to a microwave or refrigeration. Eating the same thing every day can get old after a short time as well. My suggestions for lunch are listed below. Consider taking an insulated lunch bag to keep some of these things cold until itâs time to eat. You could also freeze your beverage (water, juice, etc) and use it as an ice pack if you donât have a lunch box.

Wraps, salads, and sandwiches are good for the âentrée courseâ of your lunch. Use different deli meats and cheeses every week so you donât tire of the same flavors. Itâs good to make homemade dressings or switch up the condiments on these items as well. Use as many fresh ingredients as possible to increase the nutritional value as well. Another idea would be to cook chicken breasts, fish, and pork tenderloins in large amounts over the weekend and keep the cooked meat in the fridge or freezer as an addition to your sandwiches, wraps, or salads. Itâs a nice change to deli meat. My family also enjoys chicken, tuna, or ham salad sandwiches every so often. And you can never go wrong with peanut butter and jelly!

As the âside dishesâ for your lunch, I would suggest any of the items listed below.
fruit, yogurt, pudding, or jello cups
fresh vegetables with ranch dressing
granola bars
popcorn
trail mix
chips (take salsa or a cheese dip for tortilla chips)
pretzels
100 calorie snack packs (cookies, brownie bites, etc)
special K cracker chips
dry cereal
fresh fruit (like apples/bananas with peanut butter, orange slices, grapes, etc)
tasty cakes (Little Debbie brand)
bologna and cheese cubes
broccoli, macaroni, pasta, or potato salad
crackers (goldfish, animal crackers, cheese or peanut butter filled sandwich crackers)
dried fruit (raisins, craisins, banana/apricot/apple chips)
deviled or pickled eggs
cheese curls or cheese balls
fun sized candy bars
mixed nuts
gummy candy
marshmallows

It all depends on your preference and your size.

I, personally, would wear the following (even if I was the age I am now, which is 18 and a college sophomore!):

Or this one for Gym Class/Outsdoorsy: http://www.target.com/Girls-Champion-Seamless-Racerback-Camisole/dp/B001MZ606A/qid=1247004407/ref=br_1_14/188-9228097-1627600?ie=UTF8&node=394475011&frombrowse=1&rh=&page=1

I personally love Chuck Taylor's (Converse):

But these are also great, laidback shoes:

I tend to wear flats; less chance of falling/hurting your ankle than with heels.

A generic hoodie is great. This sweater is also nice, draping, and not too tight:

There are so many types of backpacks:
Regular, over both shoulder strapped one (http://www.target.com/Trans-Jansport-Supermax-Backpack-Chocolate/dp/B001UI7UTA/ref=sc_pgc_r_10_0_43672011/188-9228097-1627600?ie=UTF8&node=43672011&frombrowse=1)
Messenger Bag (http://www.target.com/Simone-Legno-Messenger/dp/B001QY9J88/ref=sc_pgc_r_5_0_43672011/188-9228097-1627600?ie=UTF8&node=43672011&frombrowse=1)
and Sling Bag (http://www.target.com/J-World-Teardrop-Sling-Bag/dp/B001B2NQUC/ref=sc_pgc_r_7_0_43672011/188-9228097-1627600?ie=UTF8&node=43672011&frombrowse=1)

It all depends on how much you want/need to carry. I suggest a regular backpack or messenger bag. Sling bags tend to be too tiny and carry much less.

Wear a watch. Trust me. You'll be hankering to know how many minutes you've got left 'til Lunch or Break time. Also good to time yourself on tests.

Personally, all the belts and scarves at Target look ugly to me. I'm more of a shop at the Salvation Army or other Thrift Store girl, so I pick up my scarves, headbands and belts there (I usually use the same thing for all three purposes).

Make your style your own, hun. :)

good diaper bag for multiple kids?

Jo

I am pregnant with number three and due in a couple of weeks. I am in need of a diaper bag thats large enough to carry things for 3 kids under 5 yrs of age. Durable, stylish and as I said large.
I am looking to spend NO MORE than 75 dollars on it.
If you have ANY suggestions please let me know! Thanks!

Answer
When I had two in diapers I didn't get a diaper bag at all. I got a Satchel bag the kind ppl carry computers in. It was rectangular and fit the diaper and bottle carrying bag easily it also had several pockets for all my mommy needs. It had an adjustable strap so i could wear it on my shoulder so i could hold the car seat in one hand and my toddlers hand. It was cheaper then any large diaper bag I could find about 25 bucks at target and more adult/ stylish. I used it as my purse and baby bag so when I wasn't with the kids I didn't look like I was carrying around a child's bag. It also was very easy to wash. Also i used a generic insulated lunch sack for bottles that was about $4.00 rather then the very over priced bottle carries. Good luck and congrats.

Is 10 hours too much to drive?

I was thinking about driving from the Detroit area to Montreal ,Quebec CANADA.

It's about 10 hours each way.

Obviously, I would have to stop along the way for gas, the bathroom, and food.

Is 10 hours too much to drive by myself in one day?

Answer
The key point is, how READY will you be?

If you've had a full day, it could be very dangerous! You also never said if you were driving alone or not, or, if you are driving with someone else, will they share in the driving? Also, what is you "lay-over" time once you get to Montreal, and when will you start back?

I've driven sixteen hours (not professionally, I never did that!) and I've worked on the railroad sixteen hours back in the day when we legally could. It was a long haul both instances.

Back when I used to live in California and I worked for Southern Pacific railroad, once when I had been up about four hours, I received a call from the crew dispatcher. I showered, ate, and left with my gear, and drove the 45 miles to Los Angeles, which took about an hour. I then worked twelve hours but had to be relieved, which took another two hours to sign in "off duty" at the crew shanty before I could get in my car. I then drove the hour drive home and almost fell asleep on the freeway three times! That's TWENTY hours!!!
Way too dangerous!

Keep that in mind.

When I drove semi-trucks, my partner and I found that if we drove five hours on and slept for five hours off in the "condo", trading off every five hours, that left four hours each calendar day that the truck could not move. So we adjusted it and drove that way, with an hour stopped at a truck stop before "trades". We pretty much kept moving that way, taking turns sleeping and driving. It was interesting how easy it is to fall asleep when you know it's part of a necessary pattern!

IF YOU ARE RESTED... no more than two hours awake before you depart for your trip because you were already packed for your trip beforehand, I would say it would be safe to drive a private vehicle for twelve hours with short breaks every four hours or when you feel the need to. Sometimes we feel perfectly content to keep on driving and not feel a bit sleepy, and we have no circulation problems in our behind and legs, two critical fatigue factors.

Keep this in mind:
a) FATIGUE and SLEEPINESS are NOT the same thing!
You may be able to fend off sleepiness (I'm not recommending that, it's best to pull over and get a half hour to an hour nap!) - - - BUT - - - there is nothing you can do about fatigue except get some good sleep! I am NOT kidding you on that. DO NOT try to go on if you are fatigued!
b) COFFEE will PUT YOU TO SLEEP!!!!! I learned this on the railroad. We were issued a notice about that, because over the hours of a trip, the supercharged V-20 engine with 645 cubic inch pistons has a whine and a throb that will put a crew to sleep if they are not rested! The railroad warned us that caffeine will raise your metabolism rate so that your nutrients will be consumed, and then you will get zonked ! ! ! ! We were told not to drink coffee on the trip until we had gotten most of the way to the "away-from-home-terminal"! When I quit drinking coffee, only drinking juice or water, I quit being sleepy!

What I did in the truck was to take bags of veggies (sliced carrots, celery, broccoli and cauliflower from the super market) and about two gallons of water per day. That's all I ate and drank on the trip until either dinner or breakfast time. It was my snacks and my lunch! I was never hungry, thirsty or tired.

Have a safe trip.

lunch bags????? help?

eeee

can somebody please help me find a nice lunch bag .something not too mechanical or complicated at an affordable cost :):)

or suggest any name brands?? yayy

Answer
Depends if you want to buy a lunch bag online or at the store. Or it also depends on where you live as well, and what type of lunch bag you want (male, female, kids?)

Online, you can get a girly lunch bag with your name monogrammed on it. Or you can simply buy one without your name on there.

I'm not sure if you live in the states (I'm assuming you live there...), or anywhere else, but Target has a few cute lunch boxes and one where you can decorate it yourself.

Uhh, I live in Canada and I usually get my lunch bags at a store called Bentley. I go over the top and buy girly-girl one's with fake diamonds, pink embroidery, and all those cute attachments and I'm 17...
