Traveling the Americas for 3 months, advice needed?

Curious Ca

The destinations/sights that made my list are *drumroll* .... Hawaii, San Fancisco, Nevada(burning man & maybe Vegas), the Grand Canyon, Mexico(Cancun & Isla Holebox), Bahamas, Brazil(Rio), Argentina & Peru.

Two weeks in Hawaii.
A week in California
A week @ Burning man/Nevada
A week for the Grand Canyon & Cancun
A week on Isla Holebox
A week sailing the Carribean
Two days for the Bahamas
A month in Brazil
The rest in Peru & Argentina

I'm traveling with companion, we don't mind roughing it as long as we stay in a few nicer hotels here & there. We're both vegetarians & not big eaters(two meals a day, mostly fruit & the sort). We don't drink either, so we'll be missing those pricey bar tabs. We love a good party though, we're always ready when adventure calls, just two travelers looking for friends, a wild time & those more magical moments that travel throws at you.

How much are we looking at spending overall? Any advice & tips are greatly appreciated! Thanks! ;D

P.S I as I am typing this I am gently rocking on a hammock next to the lapping of the pristine water on Phi Phi Island in Thailand, great, cheap place to travel with chill vibes & great locals. Great destination for first time solo travelers.

Answer
You are SO lucky you get to travel so much all at one time!

1. How many days exactly do you have in both Peru & Argentina. Looks like you don't even have a week for both countries. Definitely not enough time for both (maybe not even one).

2. There are A LOT of interesting things to see near the Grand Canyon, some that I personally like more than the GC. Google Zion, Upper Antelope Canyon, The Wave (though you'd have to win a permit for that), Bryce for starters. FYI, I took some people there that said why go to those other canyons - we're already going to the "grand" canyon - after all decided they were totally different and must sees. Can go to Death Valley too if you hit Vegas. If you hit all the sites I have on this list, you'd have to spend a week at the Grand Canyon area . Make sure you go during the right time of year for some of these places though.

3. Are you going to Holebox to see the whale sharks? Cause if not, I'd recommend it and make sure you go during the right season.

4. Are you never coming back to the Americas again? Just wondering cause your destinations look so spread out. If you were planning to come back some other time, you might pick locations that were closer together to save money. Like just do South America on your first trip and then North on your second (and pair central america with whichever makes sense). Chile is really cool. Bolivia has the largest salt flat in the world though you better make sure you go with a safe tour company for that. Belize in Central america is fantastic - I like it way more than mexico though I'd pick Mexico if your primary reason is for whale sharks (you can swim with whale sharks at right time of year too in Belize, but odds aren't as good as in mexico though mexico doesn't allow diving with the WS).

5. Tripadvisor.com forum - excellent source of info - much better than answers.com for traveling

6. Peru - Assume you would go to Machu Picchu. I assume you'll hit the amazon in Brazil. There's other things there too like Lake Titicaca, salineras de maras, huacachina oasis, manu, iquitos, nazca linesjust to name some but I don't think you have time for any of them.

7. It's really hard to calculate travel costs cause it can vary so greatly depending on your mode of transportation, activities, and if you go camping or not. i.e. camping is around $15 a night at Grand Canyon I think and most other places in US. While hotels can easily cost $100 a night or more (costs for hotels vary substantially in all the different places you are going to as well). When I travel activities and transportation (not the flights but ground or inter-country flights) make up the bulk of my costs. You really should calculate things out yourself in detail if you are on a budget. Any quote here would be extremely rough.

8. Make reservations in advance if you are planning to stay the night inside the park (which you should do).

9. travel light, I love keens in tropical countries, dress in layers if your going during a time when some parts are cold and some hot, I carry hand sanitizer in natural areas, love quick dry clothes and shorts/pants convertible pants. Seasick patch/pills were essential on my whale shark tour in Belize - don't know if its the same in Holebox. An insulated lunch bag was nice while on road trips. Flashlight is nice at GC if you stay the night (which you should to see sunset).

10. Free airline miles by getting a new credit card can save you money on flights if you play the game right (though don't know if that is true for where you are from).

11. If you camp (which a great option) , make sure you bring a very lightweight tent and sleeping bag since you are going so many places and that you aren't going when the weather is too cold. You can easily just eat at cheap restaurants all the time while camping so no need to bring cooking gear. If you had more people, I'd say a cheap hotel that allowed you to cook for yourselves would be almost the same cost as camping - but I don't think that is true for just two people. FYI, the bathrooms at many of the US national park campsites are actually really clean in case you are like me and can't stand dirty bathrooms. Some aren't though so if you are picky about that, go to tripadvisor.com and ask.

12. Yellowstone, Banff, New York,Chicago, Florida, Niagra Falls - lots of things you won't get to see on your trip in the Americas so I say come back again some other time if you have time.

Canadas wonderland and friends house help!?

Julene O

well on saturday i am going to my friends house to sleep over then in the me and my friends are going to wonderland i am convuised what di i pack HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

Answer
Well I'm assuming that you know what to bring for the sleepover, just the ordinary you know. Pajamas, toothbrush, toothpaste, face wash, towel, another set of clothing for the next day, or bring some fun things that you know you guys can enjoy playing with. :)

Then the next day for wonderland, I agree with above, the main thing is that you should remember to dress comfortably. Shorts + T-shirt would be perfectly suitable for going to wonderland. You should wear running shoes to be most safe, some rides won't let you take off your flip flops, so I agree how it might be a bit dangerous. However, I just went to Wonderland a few days ago, and wore my flip flops. x) Nothing happened, but I had to hold onto the flip flops tightly between my toes. You could wear them, but to be really safe, running shoes or sandals with buckles/etc. would be best.

Bring a small bag or backpack for all your belongings. Remember not to bring a really fancy bag/backpack (like a Coach bag or something that looks or is expensive). I know somebody who had an expensive bag stolen, so you shouldn't have to go worrying about that. In my bag, I really just put in my cellphone, water bottle (you'll really need that, it might be a really hot day. And drinks there are expensive), wallet (I brought about $25$, it was enough to last me half a poutine, mac and cheese, and grilled cheese. XD) Hahas, although yeah, food and drinks there ARE expensive, so if you would like, you could bring your own lunch, or make something with your friends beforehand to bring. Just make sure not to overspend or buy anything too overpriced, and you'll be fine. Make sure you have your seasons pass or wonderland ticket with you too, it would suck if you forgot it. That happened once to a friend of mine -o-

If you intend to go to the water area, or go on rides such as Riptide, White Water Canyon, or Timberwolf Falls, you should also bring a towel, swimsuit (for Splashworks), and if you want, extra shirt/pants just in case you feel too uncomfortable with wet clothing on. I was soaked after Timberwolf Falls, hahas.

So really, for Wonderland, you should mainly remember to bring these in a bag/backpack:
- Water
- Money
- Sunscreen
- Cellphone, if you have one
- Lunch (optional)
- Towel (optional)
- Swimsuit (optional)
- Extra shirt or pants (optional)

It's alright, everything will probably go smoothly. Have a great time! (:

Freezing glass bottled starbucks frappuccino?

Victoria

i like taking starbuck frappuccinos to school so i bought the glass bottled fraps..if i refrigerate through out the night it doesnt stay cool after first period..If i FREEZE it WILL IT BREAK?
what if i open the glass bottle so the air wont be to jammed in?

Answer
Freezing liquids in sealed glass containers is always a bad idea. Even if you open it or leave room at the top, sometimes liquids freeze in strange ways where they might still break the glass bottle even if there is head room. You should stick with the refrigerator or transfer it to a plastic container. However, you could also bring an insulated lunch box/bag with an ice pack to help keep it cool. Just a thought

How to prepare a bento and how long will it last/safe to eat?

Cloud

I want to take my lunch to school this year, and I want to take a bento lunch. I was wondering how I may prepare this lunch (any tutorials will help) and how long it will last out of a refrigerator. If I do store it in a refrigerator, how should I heat it up in a microwave.. wouldn't that kill the whole point? Haha Thanks! Just rather not get food poisoning or a bacterial infection, I just got my wisdom teeth out. ;)

Answer
"Do you eat the lunches hot, cold, or at room temperature?

Thereâs no microwave oven at my sonâs school, so most of the lunches shown here are meant to be eaten cool (packed in insulated lunch bags with ice packs) or at room temperature. The only foods that turn out warm are those packed in thermal lunch jars or thermal food jars. If you have a refrigerator and a microwave oven available where youâll eat, you may want to pack a cold bento lunch with multiple tiers packed so that you can easily microwave only the container of foods you want to eat warm (i.e. keep the fruit away from the meat). If youâre going to microwave your lunch, be sure to use a microwave-safe container. Details at the hot vs. cold lunch packing considerations post.

Isnât room temperature food dangerous?

Reusable ice blanket for packed lunchesBe mindful of packed lunch food safety: bacteria thrive on moisture and protein at room temperature. Use an ice pack and an insulated lunch bag when packing particularly perishable foods that will be unrefrigerated for more than two hours. Freeze little pudding cups, juice boxes, or containers of canned fruit to use as edible ice packs. Certain foods like oregano and cilantro have antibacterial qualities that help prevent food spoilage; spice food more aggressively than usual if you will be eating lunch at room temperature (details at the food safety post).

I donât want to microwave or pack food in plastic containers. What are my options?

Stainless steel food containers - Thereâs information on the risks of microwaving in plastic at the post on tempered glass bento boxes, which are microwave-safe but heavy. Stainless steel boxes like these or multi-tiered tiffin tins like ToGo Ware are lighter, and can be warmed in a stovetop steamer. Or line plastic boxes with an edible liner such as lettuce so that the food does not touch the plastic directly. Details are at the hot vs. cold lunch packing considerations post. The Gear section of the Lunch in a Box community forum has the most up-to-date information on the latest bento gear of all kinds."

How can I "brown bag" a lunch in a professional office?

~ Jamie ~

To save money, I'd like to pack a lunch and bring snacks with me to my job. Years ago, I would just throw food into a plastic grocery bag. I have a higher level position now, and don't want to bring anything tacky. The brown paper "lunch" bags are not large enough. How does everyone else bring their lunches? Is there a streamlined, insulated bag that is plain and professional looking?

Answer
I've seen a lot of women put lunch, drinks, snacks, etc in gift bags and take it to work.

Pumping/storing breast milk?

BeeMarie92

I am pumping my breast milk & putting it in the fridge. I plan on giving it to my son tomorrow when we're out running errands. My question is this... Can I put the bottle of milk in the diaper bag & use it when he's hungry or do I have to use it right away when it comes out of the fridge?

Thanks in advance!

Answer
I think the question is how long will the bottle be out of the fridge? If you brought a small bottle of milk for you to drink, how long before you would discard it? I think if you serve it while the bottle is still chilled it would be ok. Also if its going to be a bit longer than expected, perhaps you could store it in an insulated lunch bag (maybe even a thermos?) To keep it cold. Or what about the idea of adding an ice cube and shaking up the bottle before you serve it? (As long as the ice is fully melted so there is no cooking hazard.) Perhaps the best idea is to sub with formula. You can buy a bottle of water anywhere and make it. I have read up on it and there is nothing wrong with subbing with formula once in a while. Women who don't produce enough milk usually breastfeed and when their baby is still hungry they give a bottle of formula.

Should i take a purse to school or a lunch bag?

Q. Im going to high school and i want to start eating better. I want to take lunch so i can take water, fruit, etc. Also, i want to take a purse for personal reasons (ladies you know what im saying) but i will also be taking my book bag. I was thinking about puting my lunch bag in my book bag until i get to school and put my lunch bag in my locker but i still dont know. Will it be werid taking 3 things to school ? HELP. (No rude comments please! (: )

Answer
There are some really cute lunch bags. Some with longer straps like a purse. You have to have a purse and you have to have your books. You also HAVE TO HAVE a lunch so your just going to have to bring all three. Look for a really cute and trendy one so that when your carrying it you look cool still.

Live fish shipping info?

Jon

HI i plan to begin shipping the following:
-Red cherry shrimp
- endlers livebearer
-veiltail bettas
throught the fish auction site aquabid.com
i have a few questions though:
1. what is the best way to ship the fish in (wat type of bags and such)
2. how will i heat the box so the fish dont freeze?
3. how can i guaranteed alive on arrival?
4. what are techniques for shipping in the winter?
5. wat will act as insulation?
also note that i am on a low budget any info would help
thanks in advance:)

Answer
1) Get bags from your local fish store. Don't over inflate them with air, but make them where they have some give. You'll want to double or triple bag them, banding each bag separately so that you have extra precaution if one or two of the bags leak. Then put the bags in a lunch cooler or Styrofoam box. (Again you LFS might have extras that you can get for free, just ask or check their dumpster)

2) Tape some "hot hands" to the top of the box where it isn't going to touch the bags. Line the top of the bags with newspaper to insulate them better and keep them from touching the hot hands.

3) Make them send the fish back in the original bag, showing they didn't open it. Make them sign for the box or pick it up at the airport and give them a time limit to report the dead fish. Unless you are doing like a 10 day guarantee or something. I rubber band my bags so I can tell if they were tampered.

4) hot hands, see above.

5) Styrofoam box or insulated cooler. Use newspaper empty inflated bags, or Styrofoam for padding and to hold the bags up.

Also ship overnight or use airport-to-airport shipping. (talk to southwest air cargo, or delta cargo)

One fish per bag is best.

Then put the cooler or Styrofoam box in a cardboard box, label LIVE FISH all over it and ship it off.

I have done the "thermos exchange" frag swaps online before and those people put the coral or small fish in a Thermos and put it in a box and ship it. It seems to work well for most coral frags and shrimps and stuff but I am not sure on Bettas since they need more air.

morning routine help for teenage girl?

Rainbow

ok so lately i have been really bad on waking up on time and not being late to school. my sleeping schedule has been way off, and i need to get it back on track.
here are some things i need to do in the morning:
-brush teeth
-put on clothes/shoes/socks
-makeup
-straighten/curl hair
-check if i have everything without feeling rushed
-have a small breakfast
(also i'm very gaggy in the morning and it's hard for me to eat, but when i don't eat i feel dizzy at school since i don't have lunch til' later in the afternoon, so any ideas???)
Also i have to be at school by 7:30 and it takes about 10 minutes to get there from my house so i need to leave around 7:15-7:20ish...
So ya...if you could like plan out a morning routine for me and add some advice/tips on what time i should go to sleep and how to get my sleeping schedule back on track again.
Thanks! (:
*Also, I do take my showers at night, and most of the time I try and blow dry it the night before so it is straighter in the morning and easier to style*

Answer
5:45-get dresses
6:10-straighten/curl hair
6:30-makeup
6:45-pack bag get ready
7:00-small breaky
7:10-brush teeth
7:15-leave house

if you want you can change the time you wake up if its too early, or you could go to bed earlier so you can wake up earlier too.evan prepare your stuff the night before like you bag and outfit, maybe have toast for breakfast. always set your alarm if you forget or wake up late try skipping something like instead of curling your hair put it in a messy bun or don't take as long with makeup gd luck x

Healthy meal plan for teenage girl?

Ashley

I am 12 years old and I need help with a daily healthy meal plan.
I have no idea what an average meal plan looks like and sometimes I don't know if I am getting the right amount food and nutrition. Please help me with a healthy breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks. Thank you so much!

Answer
Eating a healthy breakfast will actually help you lose weight by getting your body working. Fruits such as apples, bananas and oranges are a great start; eggs are high in protein and low in calories (if you cook them in olive-oil spray); and a bowl of whole-grain cereal or oatmeal will keep you from feeling hungry. If cereal and oatmeal are boring for you, dress them up with cinnamon (but not cinnamon sugar), blueberries, bananas or strawberries.

Many teenagers drink soda for a caffeine kick in the morning. Soda is full of sugar, so steer clear of that. If you need a morning pick-me-up, try a cup of tea instead

you're at school, you may not be allowed to eat in class, but you probably can stash a healthy snack in your locker and eat it between classes. Fruit is best (but make sure to eat it on the same day you brought it.) Granola-type bars can be OK, but make sure they're low in sugar and don't have the word "hydrogenated" in the ingredients. Hydrogenated products are heavily processed and are terrible for your heart.

Snacks to stay away from include chips (even the ones that look healthy), cookies and candy bars. They pack a ton of calories and still leave you feeling hungry

Eat Lunch
â¢Make yourself a killer sandwich with whole-grain bread and lean meat such as chicken, turkey or tuna. (If you're having tuna, go with a mix that has very little mayonnaise.) Dress it with all the vegetables you can find--lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers, olives--and top it off with mustard or hummus. Another piece of fruit, some raisins or almonds, or a low-fat yogurt all make for a great dessert.

Foods to avoid at lunch, especially if you're eating at a cafeteria, include french fries, pizza, chicken nuggets and nachos. These foods are OK once in a while, but eating them every day will make you gain weight and feel sluggish.

If you're headed off-campus for lunch, stay away from the burger chains and opt for a sandwich shop instead.
Eat Another Snack
â¢Between lunch and dinner, eat another snack, such as a bag of carrots or light popcorn. Eating small meals throughout the day is much better for you than starving yourself and eating once or twice a day. It helps your body burn calories at a healthy rate (this process is called metabolism.)
Drink Lots of Water
â¢Staying hydrated is a big part of a healthy diet, especially if you play sports. But even if you don't, you'll find that drinking water can keep you from feeling hungry. The human body often mistakes hunger for thirst, so if you stay hydrated, some of your hunger pangs may go away. Also, drinking water regularly helps you keep your metabolism healthy.

Ways to make extra money?

K. Burke

First of all, I DO have a job, which I work very hard at, so I'm not asking this because I'm a freeloader. But lately I've been needing some extra cash. Any good ways you can think of?

Again, I have a job, so please don't tell me to get a second one. I would like some other way to earn some extra cash.

Thank you so much! (:

Answer
That other answer is likely leading you to a scam. Avoid it.

I worked 2 jobs for years -- a full time and part time. It's really the best solution for money, but there are others. Don't discount it straight away. I used to clean office buildings and nightclubs -- the hours were all after hours, and it was only a couple of hours at a time. :)

You can sell some stuff you're not using anymore on EBay -- bags of clothes go really well, as do kids toys. I have some friends who do this -- one buys stuff at op shops like St Vincent de Paul and sells things like toys and kids clothes at a profit on EBay. The other does it with cars -- he buys an old car for a few hundred dollars, and parts it out, selling the parts for a considerable profit. He recently confessed to me that he finds doing this addictive. He's a car guy, so it works for him.

Why do you need more money? Is there areas in your finances you could tighten up a bit? Perhaps it might help to keep a spending diary for a few weeks, work out where your money is going, and see if there is somewhere you can rein it in. Can you get cheaper deals on your phone, internet, or insurance? Can you take your lunch to work each day from home? Doing that can save you hundreds of dollars a year.

You should try the library for some books on personal finance -- they are full of tips to sort your finances out and they are easy to read. You might find there is something very simple you could do that helps you manage your money. For example, one woman I knew (I used to give financial counselling to women leaving domestic violence) used to use her debit card everywhere. When she instead took her wage out of her account in one withdrawal as cash, and spent only cash, she found she spent a considerably smaller amount, because she could see at a glance how much she had left in her wallet. This saved her over a hundred dollars the first week she did it. Just find the weaknesses in where you are spending your money and see if you can make some tiny changes. You may find this solves your problem and you don't need to find extra money. :)

Lunch Ideas please help?

Class of 0

My husband works full time and is away from home. He has a lunch break does anyone know what I could do for his lunch?

Answer
You did not say if he has access to a microwave or a refrigerator. I will assume he does. Sneaky trick is to freeze a juice box, and put it into a insulated lunch bag. It will be unthawed by lunch, and the food will be kept cool. Don't try this if lunch bag storage is out of doors. Most of the following can be done for a main dish, or as a side. Just the size of the portions change.

I love jello with fruit for a side for lunch. It is cool and refreshing, and a sneaky way to get a serving of fruit into a menu. Best one is raspberry jello with fruit cocktail, and some little marshmallows on top. Can put some banana in it if you wish. this goes with any main dish, and great with sandwiches.
Take a melon baller to some honeydew and cantaloupe and watermelon for a cool treat

My personal favorite is cottage cheese and peaches. Put a maraschino cherry on top for fun. I bring some fancy crackers and a dessert that packs well, like cookies.

Leftovers from the night before always work for me. I bought some divided plates, and a divided storage container with lids to take to work. Meat loaf always tastes better the next day. I put that, some potatoes and the veggie on the plate.

Make some apple salad, and chunk some chicken up into it thin mayo with some OJ for dressing, use apples, pineapple, grapes, raisins, celery, and put some pecans in a baggie to pour on top at lunch time.
Or same thing with a green salad. Caesar is wonderful with chicken. I put the salad together, put the croutons in a baggie, and the dressing in a small lidded container put right in the center of the salad.

Celery stuffed with peanut butter or pimento cheese. Carrot sticks with some ranch dressing.

Any sandwich. I bought a storage container the shape of bread, I just put in a couple slices in a baggie, and put my chicken or tuna salad in a bowl, then make the sandwich at lunch. No soggy bread that way! Try turkey on wheat, or a homemade deli meat sub. Pastrami on rye with russian or thousand island dressing.

Deviled eggs. squish two halves together, wrap them tight in plastic wrap and tie with a twist.

In the winter time, thick stews and soups and chili in a wide mouth thermos. Put the crackers in a baggie in a storage container

Put a small paring knife wrapped in foil in a storage box, buy some caramel or fluffy fruit dip, and let him cut up the apple and dip it. Peanut butter works good too.

For dessert, brownies travel well. I used to freeze individual slices of baked cheesecake, and slide it into a box, by the time I ate it for lunch, it was unthawed. Leaving it frozen on the way to work meant it was whole when I ate it for lunch.

Brown Bag Lunch Ideas?

Puppies

Hi!
I bring brown bag lunches to school almost everyday, the school lunches are disgusting ,the chicken bounces. I'm getting bored of sandwiches and chips, I've tried to mix them up (different meat, cheese, and bread) but they get boring after a month or so. I don't have access to a microwave or a refrigerator. So what do you bring? What do you think would be different and yummy lunch (preferably not sandwiches)? I don't eat very big lunches so nothing huge please, and it can't be hard to make (like steak or something)!

Thank You!

PS No peanuts or nuts please I hate them

Answer
First - get an insulated lunch bag and one of those ice pack things.

I would bring many different things in my lunch bag. They sell individual packs of hummus with pretzel chips in the deli section - it is really good and fills you up too. If you haven't tried it, just try it once. Sometimes I would pack a pickle in a sandwich baggie or even olives in one of the small containers. Those are just snacks to accompany a sandwich. I know sandwiches are boring, but if you bring different things to go along with them, it isn't so bad.

Have you tried....peanut butter and banana sandwiches? Veggie sandwiches? different spreads on your sandwiches? Using a bagel instead of bread? Different types of bread - try rye or pumpernickel for something different. Try looking up some recipes on www.recipezaar.com.

Also - supposedly if you freeze your bread and in the morning make your sandwich on two slices of frozen bread, it will help keep your lunch cool and will prevent your sandwich from become soggy if you put stuff like mayo on it.

Have you ever used a NEXT bag for school? If not what do you recommend? (age 14)?

Amy

I know at the moment this is a very popular and annoying question but I'm doing the dreaded school bag hunt again. My old bag is completely trashed and icant use it anymore. I'm going into S4 (year 10 I think)
I don't want a backpack. People unzip them at school and everything falls out, and those have them are labelled as geeks or nerds.

I really like this NEXT bag, the picture looks quite small, but the measurements are quite big. I generally carry a few jotters, folders and a ring binders along with my lunch, water and a small pencil case.
Only thing is, I am worried that it won't be strong enough. Have you ever had a next bag for school, what did you carry in it and how long did it last? And do you think it will be suitable? I need opinions! Here is the link

If not, what bag is suitable. No really bright colours please! Thanks for any help.

would the ice pack in my lunch box melt if...?

Alliegator

I just packed my lunch for school tomorrow, and I put the ice pack in the fridge, with the stuff. but since the ice pack is ice because its in the freezer... would it melt in the fridge or stay the same?

OR

could I just keep the refrigerated food in the lunch box in the fridge, but just put the ice pack in the freezer, would the food stay good even though its inside my lunch box?

Answer
It would last a long time in an insulated lunch bag. If you were just sticking the ice pack in a grocery bag you would have a mess quite quickly.
It will melt in the fridge eventually. Just leave it in the freezer until you get ready to leave.

Pack It insulated lunch bags? Would you buy one?

Yvonne

There was a commercial just on for this thing called PackIt. It's a lunch cooler that you actually keep in the freezer and then pack your lunch in it. It stays refrigerator cold for up to 10 hours. My son needs a new lunch box for school and it's BOGO free for $19.99 + s/h. It equals out to about $10 per bag which is the same price you would pay for a half decent one at the store. There's no ice packs needed so I'm saving money there too.

I know stuff always sounds better on TV but this actually sounds like a good deal. Opinions?
My son is going into 3rd grade next month. There is no fridge to keep lunches in, they stay in the closet with their coats until lunch time.
I've found really good reviews so far.

Answer
You should do some research online, no doubt someone has bought it and reviewed it.
If I was packing my kids lunch everyday, I would ask the school first if they actually had a fridge. That would be so much more helpful. But if not, go ahead and get it. But ONLY after you've seen reviews about how 'great' it might be. ^_^

Healthy kids lunches!?

kimberly M

I need healthy lunch box ideas for my 11 year old daughter. I have printed a bunch of ideas for wraps but those too will get boring over time. I would greatly appreciate any ideas!

Answer
well, my family is very into health and I run track, so I have been brown bagging it since kindergarten (although last year I started buying lunch which was awful)
My typical lunch is:
-organic multigrain roll with hummus, romaine lettuce, and tomato (carbohydrate, protein, vegetable)
-some sort of fruit: either apple, plum, peach, etc (whatever is in season)
-trailmix (just through together peanuts, raisins, dried fruit, almonds, or whatever: more protein)
-skim milk from the cafeteria (dairy/calcium)
I have been a vegetarian since the age of 4 (almost 10 years now) so no coldcuts for me, but turkey, chicken, tuna, or other meats can be a good source of protein. Be careful, because some cold cuts are full of fat and aren't good for you. You can also have cheese or pb+j (from healthfood section, brands like skippy or peter pan have hydrogenated vegetable oil, and a lot of jellies or jams are loaded with waaaaaaaay too much sugar)
try to stay away from or limit packaged foods or foods high in fat, sugar, or salt.
Also, have her keep a water bottle with her throughout the day, especially when it is hot. It doesn't take anything major to get you dehydrated.

there are lots of choices out there for a healthy lunch that will keep your energy up for the day, you just have to look to find them.

What was you favorite, lunch box as a kid?

was it the real deal (metal) or palstic ?

Does it make sense to put an insulated lunch bag in the refrigerator?

andyk

I've noticed that my co-workers at my office put their insulated lunch bags in the refrigerator. Since the purpose of an insulated lunch bag seems to be to protect the contents from the outside environment, would it make more sense to remove the contents from the bag and put it directly in the refrigerator?

Answer
I do it coz there is no room for a cold pack in the lunch bag. My food doesn't stay cold. I use the bag to carry my lunch. I need to keep it cold. It just makes sense to me. I'm not losing any part of my lunch to someone who will take it if it's not in the bag. Been there, done that.

How long does an insulated bag work for?

~ <3 ~

I'm going to be at college for 12hrs, plus another 2hrs driving time.

If I were to keep some food in an insulated bag, APPROXIMATELY (to your best knowledge) how many hours max would it stay fresh for if:

-the food was reallly hot or frozen?
-it was just sorta cold?

Thanks.

Answer
I found this for you. Hope it helps!

Lunch Bags & Boxes
The first thing you will need is a container in which to pack the lunch. It doesn't need to cost a lot of money. For adults a small cooler makes a great lunch box. Fred uses a medium sized cooler. He is usually gone for 24 to 48 hours, so he needs alot of food to keep him going. For children and teenagers, you can usually find inexpensive lunch boxes and insulated lunch bags at yard sales and thrift stores.

Small children often prefer a plastic lunch box with cartoon characters on the side. I suggest you buy these as cheaply as possible. They only last for a year or two before the children drop them or the latch breaks. At $6 to $10 a piece, buying brand new boxes has never been a good investment for me. I have purchased them new when I desperately needed the thermoses that came with them. After the plastic lunch box broke, I purchased replacements from my local Goodwill. I continue to use the same thermos year after year.

If the art work on an older lunch box is shabby, you can easily replace it. Use rubber cement to glue down a new picture (cut to size) and then cover the picture with clear contact paper. I've done this, and it lasted almost 2 years, until the lunch box cracked and became unusable. Amy D. describes the process in detail in the first book of The Tightwad Gazette.

For older children insulated lunch bags work best. They don't have the juvenile connotations of plastic boxes with matching thermoses, so older kids usually don't object to carrying them. I like them because they don't break when they get drop-kicked across the livingroom by a budding football player. Since they have soft sides, it is easier to fit more food and odd-shaped containers in them too. They usually have zipper closing and shoulder straps for carrying them. I buy the largest ones I can find because I find them easier to fill. Many modern insulated bags have several extra zipper pockets and sections on the outside to carry little extras like napkins, spoons and salt or pepper packets. My boys like these but they aren't really necessary. Purchased brand-new, insulated lunch bags cost between $5 and $15. If you wait until back-to-school-sales you may find them cheaper. Over the summer they can often be found at yard sales. Insulated lunch bags usually do not come with their own thermos, so you will have to use some you already have or buy them separately.

Are insulated lunch containers really better for the environment?

Brenda

Yes, we've all heard the hype. Use reusable lunch pails, don't use paper bags, etc. etc. But what about the insulated lunch bags that get thrown out EVERY YEAR!! We need a new one every year. For at least two household members. And from the way the stores get stocked on Labor Day weekend, it's not just us.

So my question is - is the carbon footprint of a reusable, insulated lunch case really better than the carbon footprint for about 250 paper lunch bags? How can you figure this out?

Answer
I see a big problem in your statement. Why would you need a new one each year, I have 2 lunch boxes, one is a tupperware (not insulated) that I've had since the mid 80's, the other is an insulated one that I've had for 3 years and there is nothing wrong with it. I try to reduce the amount of plastic in my life, but this is one area that I think it is a better option. Perhaps you need to find a more durable solution or teach your family to care for things a little better. I see the same problem with backpacks, people want new each year and that has a huge impact on our resources. I buy quality so I buy a lot less often. I also didn't allow my kids to get sucked into the marketing trap of characters, very rarely are they popular with the children more than 1 year and often less than that.

I have a zero waste lunch kit, which means I also don't use disposable containers on the inside. If you are using the lunch bag for such a short time, it may be having a greater impact than paper bags.

eco friendly lunch bags?

Hannah K

i need a lunch bag i can carry to high school so i don't have to "brown bag it". (eco friendly ??) it would be great if i could get it at normal stores too and NOT online. (normal stores include target, walmart etc.) any suggestions??
a bag that is NOT a paper bag that i can bring to school. like a tote bag.

Answer
Lunch boxes are NOT geeky! Maybe if you're geeky to begin with. But you'd totally be starting a trend, it could be your signature. "Hey, that's the kid with the batman lunch tote. He's in my econ class. He's super nice." Your other posters are probably the kids who think their shit don't stink.

It doesn't really matter what material you get, just check that it's a trusted brand. If it's made out of some non-recyclable plastic, that's a pain in the butt, but really, you'll be using it so many times it'll make up for itself. Donate it to a thrift store when you no longer need it, then it'll never go to waste.

good diaper bag for multiple kids?

Jo

I am pregnant with number three and due in a couple of weeks. I am in need of a diaper bag thats large enough to carry things for 3 kids under 5 yrs of age. Durable, stylish and as I said large.
I am looking to spend NO MORE than 75 dollars on it.
If you have ANY suggestions please let me know! Thanks!

Answer
When I had two in diapers I didn't get a diaper bag at all. I got a Satchel bag the kind ppl carry computers in. It was rectangular and fit the diaper and bottle carrying bag easily it also had several pockets for all my mommy needs. It had an adjustable strap so i could wear it on my shoulder so i could hold the car seat in one hand and my toddlers hand. It was cheaper then any large diaper bag I could find about 25 bucks at target and more adult/ stylish. I used it as my purse and baby bag so when I wasn't with the kids I didn't look like I was carrying around a child's bag. It also was very easy to wash. Also i used a generic insulated lunch sack for bottles that was about $4.00 rather then the very over priced bottle carries. Good luck and congrats.

Roadtrip packing question?

Angel

Hey guys. I will be going with my fiances family to Florida for ten days in December. We live in Wisconsin. I've never really traveled before, and I have never been away from home for more that 4 days. It's a 22 hour forty minute drive,so obviously we are stopping halfway to stay at a hotel. Anyway, we are staying in a waterfront beach condo and will be touring the Kennedy Space Center, the Everglades,Bush Gardens and Sea World. Now for my questions:
1. What do I need to take? I'm not sure what's usually included in a condo amenity wise
2. I'm used to 20 degree weather in Wisconsin,so how warm is it in FL and what clothes do I need?
3.What are some things to do on the drive there because we are figuring 14 hours one day and approx. 8 the next and my fiances dad does not make stops...
4. What are some necessities that I should pack?

Sorry about all the questions, but I really don't want to forget anything for this trip because it's not like I can hop in the car and run home for what I need like when I go camping lol Your answers are much appreciated! Thanks! :)
when I say he makes no stops I mean on a 13 hour drive he stopped one time for gas and made everyone suffer because he didn't wanna have to stop to pee or anything...lol

I'm going to Puerto Rico in July what are good family activities to do while down there?

Toni L

I am going to Puerto Rico in July for 2 weeks with my Dad (who's 53) and my twin girls (who are 3) for vacation. This is our first vacation that we have ever taken together. We are renting a car and staying in a hotel in San Juan. He has already made all the reservations and paid for the hotel and the plane ect; however, he has given me the task of figuring out family friendly activities to do while we are down there. All I can think of is, well...the beach! and El Morro. Any other suggestions!??! I do have umbrella strollers! And I'm not afraid to walk! This is my first vacation since I've had the girls and is way over due! (last one was in 2006). I don't mind going out of San Juan either. Before I had the kids I USED to be a bit of a traveler and go to places like Germany, Japan and South Korea just to name a few places. So I'm game for anything; however, with my dad being in his 50's and the girls being 3, I don't know how well they would fair. So any suggestions that would be insightful would be greatly appreciated. Thank you :)

Answer
SInce you guys are renting a car it gives you the advantage of seeing the best of what PR has to offer outside San Juan. The first place I recommend for you to go is down south near a small town called Guanica. There is a small mangrove cay with crystal clear calm waters that are perfect for little ones to play. Buy a set of inexpensive snorkeling equipment and bring it with you, the snorkeling is great around the island. You take a ferry here and need to bring what you need with you. I suggest to get a small disposable cooler, or just bring one of those insulated carry along bags so you and your girls have plenty to drink while there. Also you should do this on a Wednesday, stay away on the weekend, I've given you fair warning! http://www.puertoricodaytrips.com/gilligans-island/

Also on the south side, off the town of Ponce, is a great day trip to Caja de Muerto. My family and I went there this past summer and we saw dolphins! It's a pristine island with those dream like Caribbean waters, calm, clear and blue green. This is a weekend trip and you MUST make reservations in advance. It's worth it. The drive to Ponce is only an hour and a half by the expressway, and the docks are easy to find. You would need to leave San Juan early to make sure to make it on time. On the docks at La Guancha (the port in Ponce) you can feed pelicans, and watch huge fish swim around. Vender's sell little bags of food for them and the kids LOVE to feed them. There are also shops and restaurants to explore, it's really nice. http://www.puertoricodaytrips.com/isla-caja-de-muertos/

Another suggestion is to take a day trip sail out of Fajardo to Culebra with East Island Excursions. Culebra is a real gem. It has the Caribbeans #2 best beach, according to discovery chanel, called Flamenco Beach. The trip includes lunch, and snorkeling. http://www.puertoricodaytrips.com/culebra-east-island-excursions/

IF you want to get away from the beach PR has the most beautiful mountains, with waterfalls, rivers and lakes. On a Saturday or Sunday take a boat ride on a lake in Utuado to local restaurants right in the middle of the lake. It's called Dos Bocas, and it's a lovely setting with cool mountain air and great local food. http://www.puertoricodaytrips.com/lago-dos-bocas/

One of PR's most known and amazing sites is the Camuy Caverns, it's just west of Arecibo and is one of the worlds largest underground cave systems. You can take a guided tour, with a tram, and I think the kids and adults will be amazed. http://www.topuertorico.org/city/camuy.shtml

Just south of San Juan is the town of Guavate, near Cayey. Here is where the Puerto Rican specialty Lechon (roasted pig) is made. And on the weekend there are local arts and crafts being sold. When you make the turnoff from the highway don't be fooled by the few easy to get to Lechoneras right by the road. Just keep going and you will find the real Guavate, it's great not just for the food but for the many stalls of homemade goods for sell, this is where you should get your souvenirs. Just a little further down the road is a great mountain pool with a waterfall. It's an easy hike on a well maintained trail and the water is bright blue and makes for great swimming. http://www.puertoricodaytrips.com/guavate-lechon-and-music/
http://www.puertoricodaytrips.com/charco-azul-carite-forest/

The site i've given you most of the links to is great, I live here and I use it all the time! They give fantastic detail and their directions are spot on. Puerto Rico Day trips has lots more suggestions you should look at them all to find the perfect things you guys love to do. Don't forget to bring and use lots of sun block, and reaply often!! And if you ever need suggestions, directions or advice feel free to ask!

teenager: good ideas for packed lunches?

anonymous

our cantine is being redone and they supplied us with the GROSSEST lunches ever (all packaged and processed)
we're not allowed to go out at lunch and i need good ideas for packed lunches because im sick of sandwiches already......

can i bring yogurt? (will it go bad?)
will sushi go bad????

looking for things that are easy to make in the mornings.....

Answer
Get a cooler lunch bag, that will keep things cold until lunchtime - especially if you put a little freezer pack in it.

Cut up apple slices and toss in lemon juice so they don't brown.
Yogurt will be fine in cooler bag, bring blueberries to stir in.
I would only bring sushi if you put it on top of the freezer pack in the cooler bag to make sure it stays cold enough.
Salad

how to make brown bag lunches?

Thomas

I work in a construction type trade.
I can't take frozen food, although I can keep it cold enough to stay fresh till noon, I have no way to cook it. Hot food, will typically stay warm enough to be safe but who wants to eat soup when your working in 100* temps all day. Sandwiches are good, but I can only do that so much before the thought of another sandwich makes me cringe.... any ideas? also keep in mind I typically do not have running water to clean up, so something that requires "hands on" food prep is out of the question.
oh, and if it is not cheap... I may as well go out.....

Answer
Put your tea (with lemon & sugar if you want it) in one of those quart-size plastic jugs with a lid and freeze it. Use it in an insulated lunch bag to keep other things cold. If the quart of frozen tea isn't sufficient, use the reusable gel-packs you buy and keep in the freezer specifically for this purpose.

In the pocket of the lunch bag, pack folded paper towels and a travel pack of Wet Wipes. Pack knife-fork-spoon, either an "extra set" or plasticware. Pack travel size salt and pepper.

Things I have safely packed for lunches and toted in the insulated lunch bag with a cold pack, packed in either a plastic bag or a small plastic container:

Baby carrots and celery sticks
Crackers of various types
Cheese chunks/slices
Boiled eggs (if stuffed/deviled, put the eggs back face-to-face to minimize smears)
Salad greens, either the ready-to-eat pack from the produce case or home-packed, with separate container of salad dressing
Fried chicken pieces (if you like it cold as some people do)
Cold ham (or other meat slices) to eat alone, on crackers, or on salad
Tuna salad (with or without bread)
Chicken salad (with or without bread)
Chinese chicken salad (the kind with ramen noodles in it)
Pasta salad
Potato salad
Tomato-and-fresh-mozzarella salad
Cole slaw
Apple slices
Pineapple chunks
Grapes
Strawberries/blueberries
Graham crackers spread with cream cheese (or peanut butter)
and so on and so on and so on.

everyday sack lunch ideas for the kids?

c_l_s_ak

My kids (ages 5 and 1) are starting daycare next week. I have to provide their lunches, which is fine, but I've been staying home with them for almot 2 years, and I usually feed them left overs, soup, grilled cheese, or something homemade for lunch. I don't know what to pack in their lunches for daycare... any ideas? I don't want them to get burnt out on eating a sandwhich everyday. The daycare will not heat their lunches for them, so I guess left overs are out of the question. I need ideas!! PB&J is out of the question because the daycare is a nut free facility. I need ideas, ideas, ideas!!! Thank you!

Answer
okay they could take your soup idea in a small thermos with a cup to pour it in on the top - it doesnt stay too hot - just warm
i usually hate takig sandwiches so i go for
cold pasta with pesto/sweetcorn
falafal in pitta bread with salad
you can get little lunch pots from tesco and m&s (uk) from your description i am guessing you are in the us
i am veggie so sometimes i take cold veggie sausages
they can vary their bread normal, pitta, baguette, bagel

also get fruit boxes and bags to pack assorted snacks in
juice cartons could work
sometimes as they are young on sundays you could bake bread and they could help a little be happy knowing they have made it - it tastes a lot nicer than shop bought although it is time consuming

:)

The girl's turkey and cheese sandwich, banana, potato chips, and apple juice did not meet U.S. Department of Agriculture guidelines, according to the interpretation of the agent who was inspecting all lunch boxes in her More at Four classroom that day.

The Division of Child Development and Early Education at the Department of Health and Human Services requires all lunches served in pre-kindergarten programs - including in-home day care centers - to meet USDA guidelines.

I just bought a Mercedes-Benz CL63 AMG and can't believe a car like this gets girls to talk to you more?

Q. It's like magic! 5 years ago i couldn't get a girlfriend to save my life and now since i'm doing good on my investing i rewarded myself with a new car! Now just any new car but a Mercedes Benz and now i have girls who would walk past me and not speak to speaking and i can't get them to shut-up speaking! Friday night at walk there is one girl who rarely talks to me and when she saw me driving up in my new car she started the convo which is like woooah. Then she says we should hang out and do dinner. So is it true with american women. You have to have material things to offer for them to talk to you because this is not the case in europe.

Answer
Uh, yeah it is. European women are no different than American women in that respect. I hear you and I know why, but to say that this phenomenon is unique to American women is simply not true. The reason you didn't see this in Europe is because in Europe you're still tooling around on your broken down old MoPed.

And the reason women are more attentive is because no woman wants a bum. Demonstrate that you have some game and the women...ALL women...are far more likely to give you the time of day.

@g8tr: Oh, please. You see a guy shuffling to the bus stop with his bag lunch in his hand, digging in his pocket for change versus the guy who gets into a decent car and drives to work. One can obviously support himself, the other, obviously is just barely hanging on. It isn't 'what they have', it isn't the car you notice, but a guy's ability to provide for himself and to be self sufficient You wouldn't be being materialistic, you'd be being practical.

What can i tell this girl who is asking me for school protection, i dont really even like women in general?

Tim

Her and her 2 friends are getting bullied big time by some other guys (they are also on my football team and were all neutral friends) i know and has come to me and my friends (7 of us) asking for help.. I don't care to much about girls in general because most are bitches and never want to hangout with me anyways until i made the team and got a scholarship to play at Iowa state so why do i care I dont even let the cheerleaders wear my Jersey to the football rally's at lunch because i hate them so much, they to ignored me in my freshmen-sophomore years.. Anyways what should i tell her, they are calling them names and throwing cans and rocks and making them cry. Maybe i can tell them to go to the principle or my football coach about this? I want no part of this? It's very sad but sorry if i sound like a douche-bag but i dont want to be the nice guy.. Nice guys finish last with girls.. What should i do?
Who cares if "Nice guys finish last with girls" because they're being BULLIED! Oh well!

Answer
Bullying can damage a person for life. It isn't harmless, it is vicious and cruel. It's also assault and battery if they are throwing things like rocks and cans. What if they were not "girls" per se, but your sisters or mother? Or what if they were less physically powerful guys? Or children of either sex? You don't have to like girls in order to do the right thing. If you feel you'd be the next target if you stood up to your teammates, what about simply diverting them to some new activity instead? Like, "Hey guys, c'mon over here and check out the photos I took of the game last night". If you happen to encounter the girls alone you can certainly suggest they go to the principal to seek justice without direct action on your part. I don't know the status of their history with you, and why they would turn to you specifically for help, but you can be a man of power and help them without wanting to be their boyfriend. I understand fully what you've said about not liking girls that ignored you until you got the outward trappings of success. But know that there are also plenty of guys who ignore and ridicule girls who are overweight until they shed the pounds and become more physically attractive. It's not a trait unique to females to look at outward things instead of inward.

What do Americans put in their childrens packed lunches? And our school lunches there really as bad?

RachaelLei

Okay so I was watching Jamie Oliver's American Revolution and children who looked about 5/6 were being sent to school with just doughnuts, packets of sweets (candy), crisps (potato chips) and literally nothing else. One girl who was about 5 just had a big bag of skittles or M&M's and nothing else to eat. And then for a drink everybody was just drinking Chocolate milk. In my primary school (kinda the same as elementary school in England for kids 3-11) the school only provided us with water at lunch if we wanted a drink and orange and blackcurrant squash at christmas and even then it was quite water downed squash. Even now schools in the UK are banned from selling sugary drinks and water is free and you can buy juice and the only fizzy drink we sell is appletiser (fizzy 100% apply juice) but even then that contains no sugar.
In England children usually get a Sandwich (Jam,ham or cheese or something like that), a packet of crisps/Chocolate bar (sometimes both), a piece of fruit and a carton of orange juice or squash made from home. I'm 16 and this is what my friends usually eat in there packed lunches.
And then school lunches in high school didn't really get much better it was like chips everyday (in the show) for some kids. My school only serves them on Friday (schools can only sell high calorie foods once a week in the UK) and foods such as pizza have to be homemade. And hot meals are usually something like pasta or chicken the rest of the week and freshly made sandwiches the rest of the week for cold foods and paninis.

Do parents generally send their kids to school with just junk food? I'm generally curious because I'm not sure if they were just picking out the children with the bad lunch's for good TV or children in America generally send their kids to school with that kind of food.
And are school lunches sold in schools really as bad as Jamie Oliver's show makes out as well?

Answer
School lunches in the U.S. are largely heavily refined and processed foods. They are horrible for a person's health, and taste just as bad. They are the cheapest of the cheap.

Everyone packs different things in their child's lunch. A lot of people pack garbage in there also. You must understand, most Americans think a salad with bacon, ranch, cottage cheese, and iceberg lettuce is healthy. We are not a very educated bunch when it comes to nutrition. Another issues for some is that healthy food can cost double what the junk costs. And we have a huge problem with poverty in the U.S. Not to mention the recession, which has altered 98% of our lives.

I try to pack healthy. My son takes things like sandwiches, yogurts, plain pretzels or whole grain crackers, fruit, sometimes he brings a thermos with spaghettios. He drinks milk that he gets at school with his lunch.

Edit- It actually gets worse in high school. My high school had a Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, and a nasty Ala Carte menu filled with junk.

Some schools in the U.S. are going all natural and even starting student gardens. I think that's awesome. Too bad the closest school to us that does that is 100 miles away. I am pretty sure they are the only ones in our entire state. :-(

what should i do for valentines day for my boyfriend?

Annabel

we are seniors in high school, but we have been together for over a year now...last year i had covered the inside of his locker in hot pink construction paper, and took little sticky notes and wrote everything that i loved about him... he liked it alot... but i am stuck this year, cuz i am not the romantic type by any means... so a little help? i do not want anything over pg 13. it will not be that kind of valentines day...i assure you. just something a little sweet to show him that i really love him, yah know all that cheesy stuff :3 <3
he is eighteen and i am eighteen, we are not children. so please no childish comments....and i am a girl...not a sir...

Answer
Seems like a card with a sweet note would be good with a simple gift would be just the thing. Some possibilities might reflect that you're graduating & moving on to college or the beginning stages of adulthood. Here are a few of these possibilities...

a couple of coffee mugs
oversize towel & matching washcloths
sports bag or carry on piece of luggage
stadium seats cushions or cushions with blankets inside
laptop "skin" cover
portable file
LED flashlight or one with a windup charger or one on a keyring
Even a guy might like a potted plant, such as a tropical plant, a jade plant, or a prayer plant with a computer printout on the care of it.
Maybe a stuffed Peanuts character. Usually, I would suggest the very popular Snoopy or Woodstock, but looking at your cute pic together, maybe Lucy would be a good one for you to give to him.
There's also a Hallmark book about life with a witty saying & a Peanuts comic strip across from each one. I got one last month as a Christmas gift for a teenager. I got mine in a CVS, but they might be available in other stores with Hallmark stuff.
Could also check a local bookstore for other books of comic strips, such as Bizarro or another favorite.

You could make a gift with a spring theme, like a picnic basket or nylon insulated bag packed with plastic dishes & cutlery for 2 with a checkered table cloth & a new Frisbee or kite.

Otherwise, you could offer to pay for an outing that you haven't done before, such as admission to an art or history museum & lunch nearby. Or you could attend a stage play at a nearby college. Don't buy any tickets without checking with him on the choice & the time & date.

Also, there are the usual snacks to share, such as brownies, pastries, homemade cookies, or a special kind of bread for sandwiches from a supermarket bakery. I've listed things with a wide range of prices. It doesn't have to cost a huge amount. I'm sure that each of you will want to save your money for the future.

Hope you have lots of fun on your Valentine's Day weekend. It's good that this year everyone can choose between Friday night or anytime on the weekend. Enjoy!
