I am trying to repair my relationship with my mom (I am 26 she is 42) and I haven't seen her in while and I am going to visit her. I am trying to think of things we could do together but I haven't come up with anything. I really need it to be special because I want to show her how much I care for her. I have been it a lot of bad relationships with women and I need my mom to love me before any other women can. Thanks

Answer
Well it's hard to identify, as I loved my mother more than life itself and she's gone from my life now...What I did? I'd drive to where she lived, tell her to pack a bag and that I was taking her up the coast for a couple of days - just the two of us. We'd stop wherever we wanted, have lunch, walk, visit shops, etc. We did a great deal of talking...Those were some of the best years of my life - me as a young woman and having my Mom with me to travel and enjoy life. She lived in LA - I in SF - so we'd go up the coast for a couple of days then she'd fly home. We did this for 20 years...one of the best memories I'll treasure for the rest of my life...

How lucky you are, that you have time to repair this relationship...how very lucky. Because my dear, you don't want to leave this earth, or have her leave - without giving it a worthy chance. This is I know to be fact.

Sincerely,

Grace

How much food for weekend camping for 6-7 people?

Angela

Basically what I need to know is how many hotdogs and hamburgers I will need for one meal (then i'll multiply it by two for dinner friday and saturday, we'll be coming home sunday). I'm thinking 1.5 hamburgers and 1 hotdog per person for each meal. Is this going to be enough for 3-4 men and 3 women?
everyone's chipping in for all the food, 4 of us are going shopping tonight. For lunch we plan to be out and about and will take lunch meat sandwiches with us and breakfast we already have taken care of.
whoops forgot to mention sides will be baked potatoes one night and pasta salad and chips the next so that's taken care of.

Answer
I normally primitive camp throughout the summer months with my whole family, the other thing you may want to consider is keeping all of the perishables refrigerated/cool. You may want to consider one large cooler just for the meats and dishes prepared with mayonnaise, and dairy products and another for the drinks. Bratwurst and smoked sausages are also a good suggestion. Johnsonville Brats when purchased in large quantities Box of 21 fits really well in a cooler. Cook them all, they are great chopped or broken and mixed with the eggs for breakfast. Lunch meats are very packable, and can be made into sandwitches or over a nice salad. You may want to consider what you will do with the left overs, can you use some of them for another meal without wasting or having to carry them home. As for the hamburgers I would suggest getting them frozen and preformed. Fresh hamburger and having to press a burger is for the birds when camping. If you have a water source near your campsite I suggest taking condensed orange juice and frozen fruit drinks, Gatorade or poweraide, and avoid caffeine, and alcohol it tend to dehydrate the body. Take plenty of Ziploc bags, and trash bags, they always come in handy.

One of our last journeys took us over 5000 miles across the United States spending nearly 38 days primative camping.

Now that I have to pack my 2.5 year olds lunch for daycare I need ideas. No they can't heat anything up. I need snack ideas too.
Thanks.

Answer
I've been doing the same thing for 2 years! I pack a sandwich every day (lunchmeat, PB&J, tuna salad, chicken salad, etc), then she gets a few of the following snacks:

Veggies:
carrot sticks & ranch
celery sticks & peanut butter
canned grean beans or carrots (she actually eats them!)

Fruit:
Fresh fruit when possible (plums, bananas, apples, peaches, grapes)
canned fruit cups

Dairy:
Go-gurt (yogurt in a plastic sleeve)
cheese sticks

Other:
dry cheerios
raisins
dried fruit (cranberries, cherries, etc)
granola bars
a little cup of salad
applesauce

I have small freezer packs that I put in her lunch box to keep things cool.

I always pack milk in a thermos, and when she finishes her milk they give her water.

Stay at home moms what do you during that day with you toddler?

Kaes mommy

I recently started staying home with my daughter who is 18months old. I am looking for some fun ideas. We do go outside & go for walks some days its to hott for that tho. Plus it still gets boring. I dont have tons of money to go places all the time. We go somewhere & do something fun atleast once a week. So what do you guys do with your toddler during the day to keep them busy? Also lunch Ideas i feel like i feed my daughter the same stuff over & over again. Thanks

Answer
*Dance parties - listen to upbeat music especially children tunes
*Paint - tape large pieces of paper to driveway - paper plate full of washable paint - no brushes!
*Water fun - bathtub with bubbles or outside in sprinkler, swimming pool, hose and buckets
*Bake simple treats together like making homemade trail mix or sugar cookies. Let her decorate with sprinkles
*Scavenger hunt - make a list of things (purple crayon, rock, toothbrush). Give her a bag, name off the things and she has to find them! So much fun!
*Make a book or collage - find pictures in old magazines, you cut out and help her glue or tape to paper
*Pile all the pillows in the floor to make a mountain
*Make fort with blankets with the dining room table
*Plant flowers in flower bed or planter
*Play dress up with your shoes, scarfs, hats etc...
*Story Time at the library
*A couple visits a month to a place with blow up houses like Jump zone
*Sidewalk chalk
*Make gifts for upcoming holidays or birthdays. Picture frames are always a hit
*Clean house together - give her a rag, a small broom or mop! They love to mimic!

Lunch ideas:
*whole grain pasta, veggies and marinara sauce
*tuna fish sandwich
*scrambled eggs - saute spinach before adding egg for extra goodness! top with cheese
*Soups
*Bean and cheese quesadilla - whole wheat tortilla, black beans, salsa and cheese!
*Grilled chicken, french fries (cut up potatoes or sweet potatoes and bake) - many different dipping sauces like bbq, honey mustard, mashed avocado, marinara sauce, melted cheese
*Omelets
*Leftovers from the dinner before are my fav! :D

What are some creative prom favors?

SHARKBAITE

I am the chairperson of my school's prom favors committee. What are some things that you have received or like to receive as prom favors? Be creative!

note: we have a $10 per person budget.

Answer
Here are several ideas enclosed: http://hubpages.com/hub/_BellaMevents_HIGHSCHOOLPROMKEEPSAKE

My favorite is the lunch tote to prepare the kids for college and/or work after high school. It does not have to be customized. I would leave it plain. The pattern fits both boys and girls. You can add a customized tag to each from a computer. "Class of 2011" on a circle tag with glitter to jazz it up is something different. Also they can be wrapped in cellophane. The back of the tag can have a quote about the memories together that go on during high school. Many were made during lunch :)

Also kids always want a snack of some sort after prom after a long night of dancing so thats why I say add a few mini variety pack of snack bags to them. 2 in each one

What are some things to do with old Christmas cards? Like the ones you get in the mail from other people?

trishay79

Answer
1. Use as to/from tags for gifts. Cut out parts of the picture or words and write to/from and the names on them.

2. Use them as postcards. Cut off the picture part and use the back of it to write a message and put on the stamp.

3. Make a puzzle. Cut off the front of one or more cards. On the back side of this, write a message to your special loved one. You can include some neat stickers on your message.

Cut the card front into pieces and shapes like a puzzle. Pop the pieces into an envelope and mail it to the child. They'll love getting mail and they'll have fun putting their puzzle - or puzzles - together to get your special message.

4. Make Christmas ornaments. This is a fun one for the kids to get involved in. Cut out different elements from card fronts and allow the kids to decorate with glitter glue, yarn, ribbon, glow-in-the-dark paint. Punch a hole in the top to tie a piece of yarn or ribbon for a hanger. Make sure the kids write their name and the year on the back to make it a neat little gift for the grandparents or someone special.

5. Make gift bags out of brown paper bags. Just glue pictures cut from old Christmas cards and glue on paper lunch bags, or paper shopping bags if you need a bigger bag.

6. Create new Christmas cards by gluing the fronts of used cards onto plain paper or card stock.

7. Make Christmas placemats. You can âlaminateâ the finished mat with clear contact paper if you wish.

8. Make holiday magnets. Glue cut outs from cards on flat magnets. Sometimes you can find unused magnets stuck in the âyellowâ phone books.

9. Make holiday bookmarks. Glue a vertical strip cut from a card onto a pretty ribbon.

10. Make all kinds of pretty boxes (directions in first link in sources)

You see my kid is at home without me while im at work and she wants something other then a lunch-able so I need some recipes for foods that a kid can make and like. Thank you all :]]
She is 12 years old and is excellent at cooking and can use the stove

Answer
Pasta is easy for kids as long as they don't use more water than they can easily carry to the sink to pour into the colander to drain.

jarred sauces are easy to pour what you need and store the rest for the next day. ragu makes a cheddar sauce, many brands make alfredo, and marinara. even dressings can be used, like ranch or Italian or cesar, for a pasta salad effect. get a couple of different pasta shapes and she can have spiral pasta with marinara, or wagon wheel pasta and cheddar, ziti pasta with italian dressing etc.

and of course chopped fresh veggies can be added. or she could add chopped meat. the little bags of budig brand meat are good for single serve purposes like that, or any lunchmeat could be used. and bacon comes precooked now. add salami or pepperoni to the marinara pasta or ham to the mac and cheese, chicken in the alfredo pasta, or perhaps a slice of precooked bacon crumbled into ranch pasta. whatever she can imagine.

kids can easily cut lunchmeats with a table knife, so no need to worry about her using a sharp knife when your away.

What foods and drinks should I serve at my 13 yr old son's birthday party? What type of decorations to put up?

Rite

The activity will be baseball in our backyard and they will be eating in the veranda. There will be about 15 kids in the party.

Answer
Make a "Concessions" sign for over the food area.

Get a good cream cheese ball recipe http://www.grouprecipes.com/cream-cheese-ball and make the "stitching" on the ball using red pimentos (find a recipe that's flavorful as cream cheese tends to be bland).

Hot dogs and burgers are the foods of choice...can wrap in foil for effect.

Take ordinary brown lunch bags, roll down the edges and serve peanuts in them (or if you're avoiding nuts because of potential allergies...fill them with chips. (You're going for the "Ballpark" look here..lol)

Popcorn in those cardboard containers.
Boxes of Cracker Jax
Nachos and cheese
Cotton candy
Probably cans of soda for the party as well as bottles of water

Serve cake and ice cream in those little plastic baseball helmets

Hang a "GATE (son's initial)" sign up over the entrance....did you give them admission tickets to enter the party in their invitation?

Use a green tablecloth and angle it to look like a baseball diamond and put bases on it.
Hang up team pennants, foam hand #1 with his pic on the hand or finger pointing to it around the area with posters of great players.

Have all the kids sign a real baseball for him to keep as a birthday souvenir!

Table centerpiece : black and white helium balloons held down by a CLEAN pair of cleats ;)-...will be hovering over the "pitcher's mound" on the table

Have grown-ups dress as Umps for the party

for kicks.....run the old comedy clip by Abbot and Costello: "WHO'S ON FIRST" (it's on DVD)...look on youtube...it's a classic!

What to expect on my first day of high school?

lunch bags for high school on ... school backpack lunch bag set monster high backpack school lunch bag
lunch bags for high school image

Natasha

Tuesday is my first day of high school, and I'll be a freshman. My school has about 2200 students, three stories and a billion stairs. We are allowed to bring bags and backpacks around with us. My questions are what to expect, when should I go to my locker, what should I should I avoid doing, what kind of bag should I use without being the loser freshman, how I should go about lunch and if upperclassmen actually hate freshmen as much as people say? Thanks!
I'm a 14 year old girl!

Answer
I'm a freshman in a high school with three stories, and a whole bunch of students.

- My advise about in between classes is to go straight to your class if you have to go up or down stairs. The stairs are usually packed with kids, and it usually takes me about three minutes just to get to the next level. I would suggest going to your locker if it is on the same floor as you are.

- For backpacks, don't get anything to big. (Like the one with many pockets, and that extend outward.)

- For lunch, if you don't see anyone around that you know, just go ahead and walk around inside and out.

- Upperclassmen don't actually dump you in trash cans, and beat you up everyday. As long as you don't give them a reason to hurt you, I think you'll be fine. (at least that's how it is in my school)

-You should also write down your scheduale on your hand after the first week. (people seem to make fun of me while I take my scheduale out now. But it's hard to remember when you have block schedualing!)
- Make sure you really do try hard with the school work! It's just as important as the rest of your years will be. If you're in advanced honors classes, or any AP classes, make sure you don't procrastinate!

- Also, make sure to be yourself! You don't want to make new friends that have nothing in common with you.

-Lastly, you need to remember that in high school, they will start treating you like an adult. So a lot of things, you will have to be doing on your own. If you need help with something, it's best to ask your counseler.

RELAX. As long as you do your work, socialize, and don't do anything to piss people off, you'll have a good year. (:

What should you pack in your book-bag for freshman year of high school?

Pikachu!

Im going to high school soon, and I was wondering what items you have in your high school backpacks? (I'm a girl by the way)
BQ: Any tips for high school?

Thanks in advance!

Answer
Just what you normally bring to school. You may end up needing additional items depending on what classes you take and the teachers you have. On the 1st day of school or at least within the 1st week your teachers will tell you what you'll need for class, so don't worry. But here is a list of what I bring to school:
-notebook with folders or dividers
-lined paper
-pencils AND pens
-lunch or money for lunch
BQ: As for tips, just be prepared as best you can for your classes, try to keep up on homework, meet and introduce yourself to new people (that's a good way to make new friends), be your self, and have fun getting use to the new school. :) I personally like high school more than jr high because I wasn't caught up in so much drama like jr high dealt me.

Oh yea and something the upper classmen told me when i was a freshman a few years ago, "Don't act like you own the school just because you are in high school now because truth is you are at the bottom and seniors are the top." When they told me that I thought they were crazy to think freshman would act like that. But it turned out a lot of freshman acted that way, lol it was funny but annoying.

What kind of foods to sent with 2 year old at daycare?

lunch bag for daycare on Preschooler with Lunch
lunch bag for daycare image

Anna W

My daughter is turning 3 in September. The new day care she is attending ask that I supply food for her. I've thought about frozen waffles, carrots, juice boxes, ham, bread. What kinds of things should I send?

Answer
I would send a bag of individually wrapped carrots, apples, or applesauce, and bananas at the beginning of the week, as well as a large box of crackers/wheat thins/goldfish for snacks. My daughter especially likes yogurt, but rather than buying the little individual sugary cups, I buy a large tub of plain yogurt and add berries or spices to make different flavors and package them in reusable individual sized tupperware. Those things I consider "staples" and send in large quantities and the daycare lets me know when they're running low or I send once for the whole week.

My kids both like oatmeal, so I premeasure out oatmeal for her to make it easier for the daycare worker and send a package of frozen blueberreis to add for her breakfasts. I also make large batches of healthy muffins on the weekend that I can send in for breakfasts with sausage and fruit.

For lunches, I pack leftovers from dinner the night before and bring them in tupperware daily. If we don't have enough, I usually send a hummus sandwich and/or a hearty soup.

How long does an insulated bag work for?

insulated lunch bag for hot food image

~ <3 ~

I'm going to be at college for 12hrs, plus another 2hrs driving time.

If I were to keep some food in an insulated bag, APPROXIMATELY (to your best knowledge) how many hours max would it stay fresh for if:

-the food was reallly hot or frozen?
-it was just sorta cold?

Thanks.

Answer
I found this for you. Hope it helps!

Lunch Bags & Boxes
The first thing you will need is a container in which to pack the lunch. It doesn't need to cost a lot of money. For adults a small cooler makes a great lunch box. Fred uses a medium sized cooler. He is usually gone for 24 to 48 hours, so he needs alot of food to keep him going. For children and teenagers, you can usually find inexpensive lunch boxes and insulated lunch bags at yard sales and thrift stores.

Small children often prefer a plastic lunch box with cartoon characters on the side. I suggest you buy these as cheaply as possible. They only last for a year or two before the children drop them or the latch breaks. At $6 to $10 a piece, buying brand new boxes has never been a good investment for me. I have purchased them new when I desperately needed the thermoses that came with them. After the plastic lunch box broke, I purchased replacements from my local Goodwill. I continue to use the same thermos year after year.

If the art work on an older lunch box is shabby, you can easily replace it. Use rubber cement to glue down a new picture (cut to size) and then cover the picture with clear contact paper. I've done this, and it lasted almost 2 years, until the lunch box cracked and became unusable. Amy D. describes the process in detail in the first book of The Tightwad Gazette.

For older children insulated lunch bags work best. They don't have the juvenile connotations of plastic boxes with matching thermoses, so older kids usually don't object to carrying them. I like them because they don't break when they get drop-kicked across the livingroom by a budding football player. Since they have soft sides, it is easier to fit more food and odd-shaped containers in them too. They usually have zipper closing and shoulder straps for carrying them. I buy the largest ones I can find because I find them easier to fill. Many modern insulated bags have several extra zipper pockets and sections on the outside to carry little extras like napkins, spoons and salt or pepper packets. My boys like these but they aren't really necessary. Purchased brand-new, insulated lunch bags cost between $5 and $15. If you wait until back-to-school-sales you may find them cheaper. Over the summer they can often be found at yard sales. Insulated lunch bags usually do not come with their own thermos, so you will have to use some you already have or buy them separately.

Can you suggest a lunch bag/box that can keep food hot for 4 hours?

byebye

My son doesnt like anything 'packable'. So we need to find something that would keep his lunch hot (or warm at least) for 4 hours. We'd be packing items like pancakes or spaghetti noodles - nothing really perishable. I tried a heat pack from a pyrex serving dish, but it only stayed warm for a couple hours. Doesnt anyone out there make a lunch sack that keeps food warm?

Answer
One such product is called the Lunch and Go. It has an insert for the insulated lunch carrier and claims the heat lasts 5+ hours. It also claims that a child can carry this with ease. To check it out, go here: http://www.warmandtote.com/bagel-bag.html

Another such product is the Zojirushi Mr. Bento Stainless-Steel Lunch Jar. It is made mainly for asian cuisine, which is why it comes with chopsticks and a chopsticks holder, but it still seems capable of doing its job. There are actually three different models of this product, so on the website, click on the different titles in the left side bar. Here is the link: http://www.zojirushi.com/ourproducts/lunchjars/sl_ja.html
Also, this product can be purchased on amazon.

I'm planning a birthday party for a 5 year old boy (there will be girls and boys of this age at the party). Theme doesn't matter...just wondering if anybody has some games or activities that can be done?

Answer
pin the tail on the donkey board games card games duck duck goose tag if you are going to get a jumper let them play in it A piniata is always a hit at our parties, we do one every year. Potato sac races, use pillow cases. Treasure hunts....break out the easter eggs, fill them with some goodies, have a few special eggs, gold or with stars and those kids get a prize..or not. Pin the tail on the donkey, they have different versions now. If there are alot of kids you can have a girl and boy theme game. Bingo, Musical chairs, the limbo, Have a table set up with coloring books, water colors, playdoh or a craft for when the kids are "out' of a game or get boared.
Instead of a cake have make your own cupcakes, have icing, different sprinkles and candies to put on them. I would still have a small cake to sing Happy Birthday and for the adults.
The piniata is such a huge hit at all our parties, I don't like to give alot of candy so instead of goodie bags i do a super duper pinata. I put punching balloons(HUGE hit) whistles, noise makers, small toys, jewlerey for the girls(neclaces, rings bracelets) tiny bottles of bubbles, and some candy. Just so the kids know they arent getting goodie bags, I get colored lunch bags and write the kids name and goodie bag on them before hand. This way the kids get to play with the stuff they get at the party, they seem to have alot of fun this way and it takes up alot of time. When my kids get a goodie bag at a party, itis junky stuff, they look at it in the car and like it but never seem to play with it at home, and I am mean, I let them have one or two pieces of candy and hide the rest, or eat it if it is good...lol.

How can I lose weight in about a month or so?

angela

I'm a 13 year old girl I'm 5'4 and I weigh 133 pounds. I don't know if I'm over weight or not. I eat very healthy (meats, veggies, fruits) and I drink plenty of water every day. I just want to get a flat stomach and smaller thighs. I don't want to be a bag of bones because honestly I've tried to starve myself but it never worked. I usually skip lunch because I'm not hungry but then I just have 1-2 crackers most of the time.. Also how come whenever I eat dinner I feel like I have to throw up for about 15 minutes then that feeling is gone and I'm fine. It's weird. Please help. I would like to loose about 10 or 15 pounds. And fast. Thank you! :)

what school supplies should i get my daughter for preschool?

she is starting preschool sept 8th. i am so excited for her and also excited for me! the free time for me, and the learning and meeting new friends for her she is an only child even though i take care of my niece and she lives with me she is 5 and she is going to 1st grade. she has 1st grade school supplies but what do i get for a 4 year old starting preschool its full time preschool from 9:15 til 3:55 just like regular school. i am so excited for her. she is very excited i got my niece a book bag and my baby was so excited that this year she could pick out 1 too she smiled all the way to the register and didnt want the lady to put it in a bag she had to wear it out the store, they got the same big girl book bags. ahh im soo excited, i think im more excited than her!

but back to my question what kind of school supplies do i get for a 4 year old starting preschool? because i no she doesn't need all the same things my niece does.

Answer
My son's preschool mailed a supply list with his acceptance letter. I don't know if private schools like his are different from what you may be doing or not but his supply list was 2 large rolls of paper towels, 2 large pump soaps, 2 boxes of kleenex and 2 large packages of diaper wipes. Also on the list were a complete extra set of clothing, including pull up or underwear, in a gallon size ziploc bag, a backpack free of characters or offensive print, insulated lunch box free of characters or offensive prints, no hard case lunch containers. They also specified that the kids had to have a school jacket and non-marking sole shoes for school.

Each day he goes I have to provide lunch for him as well as a healthy snack. He has the option to go for an extended stay day for an extra fee and to purchase milk and or hot lunch from the school cafeteria for .50 - $3.00 if wanted.

If you haven't gotten a list yet I'd call the preschool and ask if there are any supplies your child will need to bring the first day of school. Usually I have found preschools will request things like hand sanitizer, paper towels, kleenex, gallon size zip bags, art smock, diaper wipes or other similar things they use in quantity. Other preschools provide everything and require no supplies other than a backpack and lunch/snack for your child each day and change of clothing. It wouldn't hurt to call and ask.

I'm going to Puerto Rico in July what are good family activities to do while down there?

Toni L

I am going to Puerto Rico in July for 2 weeks with my Dad (who's 53) and my twin girls (who are 3) for vacation. This is our first vacation that we have ever taken together. We are renting a car and staying in a hotel in San Juan. He has already made all the reservations and paid for the hotel and the plane ect; however, he has given me the task of figuring out family friendly activities to do while we are down there. All I can think of is, well...the beach! and El Morro. Any other suggestions!??! I do have umbrella strollers! And I'm not afraid to walk! This is my first vacation since I've had the girls and is way over due! (last one was in 2006). I don't mind going out of San Juan either. Before I had the kids I USED to be a bit of a traveler and go to places like Germany, Japan and South Korea just to name a few places. So I'm game for anything; however, with my dad being in his 50's and the girls being 3, I don't know how well they would fair. So any suggestions that would be insightful would be greatly appreciated. Thank you :)

Answer
SInce you guys are renting a car it gives you the advantage of seeing the best of what PR has to offer outside San Juan. The first place I recommend for you to go is down south near a small town called Guanica. There is a small mangrove cay with crystal clear calm waters that are perfect for little ones to play. Buy a set of inexpensive snorkeling equipment and bring it with you, the snorkeling is great around the island. You take a ferry here and need to bring what you need with you. I suggest to get a small disposable cooler, or just bring one of those insulated carry along bags so you and your girls have plenty to drink while there. Also you should do this on a Wednesday, stay away on the weekend, I've given you fair warning! http://www.puertoricodaytrips.com/gilligans-island/

Also on the south side, off the town of Ponce, is a great day trip to Caja de Muerto. My family and I went there this past summer and we saw dolphins! It's a pristine island with those dream like Caribbean waters, calm, clear and blue green. This is a weekend trip and you MUST make reservations in advance. It's worth it. The drive to Ponce is only an hour and a half by the expressway, and the docks are easy to find. You would need to leave San Juan early to make sure to make it on time. On the docks at La Guancha (the port in Ponce) you can feed pelicans, and watch huge fish swim around. Vender's sell little bags of food for them and the kids LOVE to feed them. There are also shops and restaurants to explore, it's really nice. http://www.puertoricodaytrips.com/isla-caja-de-muertos/

Another suggestion is to take a day trip sail out of Fajardo to Culebra with East Island Excursions. Culebra is a real gem. It has the Caribbeans #2 best beach, according to discovery chanel, called Flamenco Beach. The trip includes lunch, and snorkeling. http://www.puertoricodaytrips.com/culebra-east-island-excursions/

IF you want to get away from the beach PR has the most beautiful mountains, with waterfalls, rivers and lakes. On a Saturday or Sunday take a boat ride on a lake in Utuado to local restaurants right in the middle of the lake. It's called Dos Bocas, and it's a lovely setting with cool mountain air and great local food. http://www.puertoricodaytrips.com/lago-dos-bocas/

One of PR's most known and amazing sites is the Camuy Caverns, it's just west of Arecibo and is one of the worlds largest underground cave systems. You can take a guided tour, with a tram, and I think the kids and adults will be amazed. http://www.topuertorico.org/city/camuy.shtml

Just south of San Juan is the town of Guavate, near Cayey. Here is where the Puerto Rican specialty Lechon (roasted pig) is made. And on the weekend there are local arts and crafts being sold. When you make the turnoff from the highway don't be fooled by the few easy to get to Lechoneras right by the road. Just keep going and you will find the real Guavate, it's great not just for the food but for the many stalls of homemade goods for sell, this is where you should get your souvenirs. Just a little further down the road is a great mountain pool with a waterfall. It's an easy hike on a well maintained trail and the water is bright blue and makes for great swimming. http://www.puertoricodaytrips.com/guavate-lechon-and-music/
http://www.puertoricodaytrips.com/charco-azul-carite-forest/

The site i've given you most of the links to is great, I live here and I use it all the time! They give fantastic detail and their directions are spot on. Puerto Rico Day trips has lots more suggestions you should look at them all to find the perfect things you guys love to do. Don't forget to bring and use lots of sun block, and reaply often!! And if you ever need suggestions, directions or advice feel free to ask!

*PLEASE HELP* Why can't I control my eating habits at all?

lunch bags for girls uk on Girls Lunchbox & Matching Drinks Bottles - Icecream Sundae from ...
lunch bags for girls uk image

Claudia

I'm a fifteen year old girl.
I guess you could say I was lucky, as I have a naturally curvy figure, quite a big chest area, curvy hips but I go in at the waist, kind of an hourglass. However, the tops of my arms and thighs are ridiculously flabby and although I don't carry any fat around my hips or my butt like most girls, my stomach bulges, actually very far out from my body. It's like a beer belly, even though I don't drink. I'm a UK size 10-12 however tops always seem to cling and my belly is nearly always bulging.

I am a very insecure person, obsessive you could say. I really hate myself, but we won't go into all my psychological issues. the bottom line is, i'm dying for a better figure, a flat tummy, maybe a little gap between my thighs. But as much as I want it, I just can't do it.

I am a very stressed person, I worry and over-think incessantly, and as a result am a very unhappy person, I would say. One thing I find cheers me up, though, is food. I LOVE food. Especially sweet things. I have an absolutely insatiable sweet tooth. If I go one day without one or two sweet, sugary junk food things, I honestly feel like I get withdrawal symptoms; I become tetchy and unhappy, and all I can think about is sweets, chocolate, biscuits, things like that. I am obsessed with trying to better my diet, and I take a packed lunch to school full of nutritional things, fruit salad, nuts, brown bread with peanut butter, that kind of thing. But between meals I screw it all up.

For example, today at school there was a cake sale. I couldn't resist. I bought a brownie AND a slice of sponge cake. I was good for the rest of the day, but by the time I got home I hadn't had anything sugary for hours and I was feeling desperate. I had a Twix, the leftovers of a bag of Haribo, and six Maryland cookies. the problem is, this is becoming a daily routine, instead of an occasional mistake. I feel like I can't go without it. I instantly feel calmer, happier inside, with some junk food coursing through my system. Later on however, it hits me, and I just feel AWFUL. I loathe myself, I tell myself off in the mirror, pinching my belly and sometimes degrading myself to the point of crying, I just feel so disgusting and fat and greedy. But I'll wake up in the morning and the cycle starts again.

I also have no stamina so exercise doesn't even come into it. I want to work out, but I'm just constantly tired. I'm aware I probably have depression, but that's another story. I know I should be going jogging, doing squats and sit ups, but when I know I should I feel weighed down to the ground with this huge sense of foreboding and exhaustion before I've even started.

I'm stuck in a rut and I'm just going to get fatter. Any suggestions or advice would be SO SO SO appreciated. Thank you :-)

Answer
First you have to address your depression. Mental health clinics will see you free of charge without having to get your parent's consent.

Second, you're eating a lot of sugar. Sugar is highly addictive because the rush of glucose, sugar, stimulates the brain's pleasure center. And sugar burns off so quickly you become hungry quickly.

The next time you have an urge to snack have a protein. It burns much slower and is filling. Proteins would be any dairy product without added sugar, meat, and eggs. Over time you'll notice you will eat less. This does not mean you cut all carbohydrates. Just limit them.

how can i stay away from detentions at school ?

lollypops

ive had loads of notes in my planner all ready and about 4 detentions and if i forget my pe kit one more time im going to be getting a senior staff detention for 1 hour after school on friday by the way i go to a all girls school in the UK

Answer
PE kit is easy. Get a school locker and keep your kit in there. When it needs washing take it home, wash and dry it as soon as you get in and put it straight back in your bag then put it in your locker when you get to school. That way your kit is always in school and you can't forget it.

Do homework the day it is set and put it straight in your bag to put in your locker. In fact, the whole key to this is that everything you need for school is either in your bag or your locker. Keep spare pens, lunch money and so on in your locker too.

If you tend to forget homework, do it at school. Instead of going home straight away, spend half an hour or an hour in the library after school getting your homework done. Then (you guessed it) put it in your locker. Make sure you let your parents know your plans in advance and text them when you're leaving school so that they know what time to expect you home. That last bit isn't a kid thing, it is a polite thing - I even tell my son when I'm on the way home, or when I'll be late.

Answer
BookRags Premium ($$) - "Stargirl"

Includes chapter summaries, character analysis, themes, style, historical context, critical overview (essays), criticism, media adaptations, compare and contrast, topics for further study, and more.

http://www.freebooknotes.com/book.php3?id=3178

Plot Summary

It was the first day of school at Mica High School and the halls are buzzing about the new girl who calls herself Stargirl Caraway. To say she is different is an understatement.

Her clothes are different as are her mannerisms, and she has a pet rat she carries around in a bag that has a picture of a Sunflower on it. Leo Borlock learns about Stargirl from his best friend Kevin Quinlan. During lunch, while Leo and Kevin are sitting together, Stargirl pulls out a Ukulele and begins to strum on it and dance around the lunchroom. Day after day she does this focusing on one particular person to whom she sings Happy Birthday. It is unclear how she knows that someone has a birthday. Hillari Kimble says she thinks Stargirl is a "plant," someone put in the school by the administration to get students interested in school, to create school spirit.

What could i pack in a lunch box that both me and my exreamly picky kid will like?

Answer
When you say picky kid...well what does your kid like?
Make sandwiches, pasta salad, mixed fruits, chicken (fried or sliced or something)
Chicken wraps - add cabbage& carrot mix from the bag, lettuce, tomato
Soup in a thermos
Really it depends I would guess on what your kid will eat.

Is it ok to leave leave turkey sandwich out for 5 hours?

*Rose*

Packing lunch. Turkey sandwich with cheese on bread with no condiments & sealed in zip lock bag. Packaged in a paper bag, packed at 8:30, eaten at 12:30. Is the meat ok enough to eat?

Answer
Yes of course ..if your turkey is not several days old and had been kept refrigerated it will be fine and you certainly can add condiments if if you like, pickles too! Mothers and housewives have been fixing brown bag lunches for children and husbands for many, many years also farm wives fix lunches for their husbands to take to the fields so they do not have to travel back home again. that is how is was when I went to school and also when my kids where in grammar school there was no hot lunch program until they went to high school if they did not like what was on the school menu they took a bagged lunch I also packed lunches for my husband and my son every day to take to work for many years No one ever got sick and we are all very healthy but my kids did get sick a couple of times from the high school hot lunches The key is to make sure all your food is not stale or old .and well wrapped .. Edit~ don't forget contruction workers, carpenters, coal miners, brick and concrete masons and millions of others who work in the outdoor elements and take a steel lunch box and thermos to work everyday

I am afraid to approach peoplefor a date, and I don't know how to tell if someone is hitting on me?

fashion lunch bags for women on lunchbag Fashionable and Stylish Lunch Totes
fashion lunch bags for women image

Rebecca

I am 21 and I still can't tell if someone is flirting with me unless they are upfront about it. I can't tell if someone is hitting on me. If people are upfront about it, then I ignore them and don't know how to let them down gently, I get nervous and they take "no" as a yes.

Answer
Maybe you could start by just chatting lightly with a guy....not asking for a date. You, as the woman, in my old-fashioned, feminine opinion - should not ask for a 'date'. There is a lot of ways to check the guy out and let him know that YOU would say yes if HE asked you to go for coffee/tea/a hamburger/a walk at lunch ....whatever. My point is - Let HIM ask you.

Then - look for small behaviours - don;t assume you are going to see full-blown 'flirting' or 'hitting on''

Does he chat (about the weather, or the class or the office or the dog that just ran past) and glance at you once in a while ? Personally, if a total stranger/new guy makes long intense drilling eye contact right off the bat - I would not want to get to know him outside of a group setting for a while.

When you talk with him and YOU occasionally glance at him ......does he glance back ....in a soft or shy way ? This is a good thing.

Okay there are too many variables here ......let's simplify this ........if he tried to talk with you you can assume he is interested in talking to you some more. So chat back .......

If you feel bullied ....that only his opinion matters ......that he would rather hear himself talk than listen to anything you have to say ......you don;t want 'a date'.

To start a conversation with someone, comment on something that is happening right now - to both of you .....the weather, the office, the lousy coffee, the boring prof, the kindness or unkindness of the manager ......see if he replies. When he replies, does he look at you occasionally ......does he smile when you make a small joke ......Bottom line : would you ENJOY talking more with this person ? If yes, find excuses to talk with him .....if no - then don't.

If they take your 'No' as a "yes" .......state clearly "I have to go now" ........"No thanks I don;t need (whatever he just offered to do (open the door, get a coffee, hold your bag of groceries......"

Look him SQUARE in the eye and say, loud enough, NO thanks !" If he doesn;t quit talking to you - or standing in your way - move physically toward another person and repeat "NO thanks".

They won;t take 'No' as a "yes' if you say NO !" and look square at them and sound like you MEAN it. Good luck. Get a girl friend to practice with you ......get them to keep trying to talk you into something and you practice saying "No" .........Come on have a another drink of water .....No !....come on answer your phone ...it;s ringing ....No ! Come on sit in this chair for me .....No !

Good luck. I hope this helps you.

If i want to know 'why was Edie Sedgwick a muse and inspiration to Andy Warhol?, which books would i buy?

See i have to write my extended essay on this topic!
i need help!

Answer
Here is the chapter in the aforementioned book by Warhol that discusses Edie (I left out unnecessary paragraphs due to the word limit):

Taxi [nickname for Edie] was from Charleston, South Carolina--a confused, beautiful debutante who'd split with her family and come to New York. She had a poignantly vacant, vulnerable quality that made her a reflection of everybody's private fantasies. Taxi could be anything you wanted her to be--a little girl, a woman, intelligent, dumb, rich, poor--anything. She was a wonderful, beautiful blank. The mystique to end all mystiques.

She was also a compulsive liar; she just couldn't tell the truth about anything. And what an actress. She could really turn on the tears. She could somehow always make you believe her--that's how she got what she wanted.

Taxi invented the miniskirt. She was trying to prove to her family back in Charleston that she could live on nothing, she would go the Lower East Side and buy the cheapest clothes, which happen to be little girl's skirts, and her waist was so tiny she could get away with it. Fifty cents a skirt. She was the first person to wear ballet tights as complete outfit, with big earrings to dress it up. She was an innovator--out of necessity as well as fun--and the big fashion magazines picked up on her look right away. She was pretty incredible.

We were introduced by a mutual friend who had just made a fortune promoting a new concept in kitchen appliances on television quiz shows. After one look at Taxi I could see that she had more problems than anybody I'd ever met. So beautiful but so sick. I was really intrigued.

She was living off the end of her money. She still had a nice Sutton Place apartment, and now and then she would talk a rich friend into giving her a wad. As I said, she could turn on the tears and get anything she wanted.

In the beginning I had no idea how many drugs Taxi took, but as we saw more and more of each other it began to dawn on me how much of a problem she had.

Next in importance for her, after taking the drugs, was having the drugs. Hoarding them. She would hop in a limousine and make a run to Philly crying the whole way that she had no amphetamines. And somehow she would always get them because there was just something about Taxi. Then she would add it to the pound she had stashed away in the bottom of her footlocker.

Taxi would spend most of the day at lunch uptown at Reuben's ordering their Celebrity Sandwiches--the Anna Maria Alberghetti, the Arthur Godfrey, the Morton Downey were her favorites--and she would keep running into the ladies room and sticking her finger down her throat and throwing each one up. She was obsessed with not getting fat. She'd eat and eat on a spree and then throw up and throw up, and then take four downers and pop off for four days at a time. Meanwhile her "friends" would come in to "rearrange" her pocketbook while she was sleeping. When she'd wake up four days later she'd deny that she'd been asleep.

At first I thought Taxi only hoarded drugs. I knew that hoarding is a kind of selfishness, but I thought it was only with the drugs that she was that way. I'd see her beg people for enough for a poke and then go and file it in the bottom of her footlocker in its own little envelope with a date on it. But I finally realized that Taxi was selfish about absolutely everything.

Taxi hoarded brassieres. She kept around fifty brassieres--in graduated shades of beige, through pale pink and deep rose to coral and white--in her trunk. They all had the price tags on them. She would never remove a price tag, not even from the clothes she wore. One day a friend was short on cash and Taxi owed her money. So she decided to take a brassiere that still had the Bendel's tags on it back to the store and get a refund. When taxi wasn't look she stuffed it into her bag and went uptown. She went to the lingerie department and explained that she was returning the bra for a friend--it was obvious that this girl was far from an A-cup. The saleslady disappeared for ten minutes and then came back holding the bra and some kind of log book and said, "Madame. This bra was purchased in 1956." Taxi was a hoarder.

Taxi had an incredible amount of makeup in her bag and in her footlocker: fifty pairs of lashes arranged according to size, fifty mascara wands, twenty mascara cakes, every shade of Revlon shadow ever made--iridescent and regular, matte and shiny--twenty Max Factor blush-ons...She'd spend hours with her makeup bags Scotch-taping little labels on everything, dusting and shining the bottles and compacts. Everything had to look perfect.

To answer your question, I think reading online articles about Andy was well as Edie would give you the best idea of why she was so valued by him. In brief, Andy was attracted to wealth, prestige, beauty, glamour, wildness, self-destructive types, strong personalities (particularly extroverts), and controversy. Edie represented all of these in some form or another. Edie was fascinating to many people and Andy really had an eye for those types; he seemed to want to study their appeal and understand what made them this way. He had a real talent for it.

I will be starting my first professional job soon. What are some of the work etiquettes that I have to look out for. Please help me out. How should I behave and what not? I am actually very nervous. Is it better to take my own lunch or eat out the first few days?

Answer
I know right, I've been through something like this, but luckly I already got into a kind of boss position, so the co-workers is that were a bit nervous, in fact. Anyway, calm down, be polite and use common sense.

Dos:
- a good first impression and dress appropriately. Wear conservative and nice clothes (pencil skirts, scoop-necked tops, cowl neck blouses, cashmere cardigans, low heel closed shoes...)
- smile and be friendly.
- when meeting your co-workers, look them in their eyes, give a solidly professional handshake and say something like âitâs a nice to meet you and Iâm looking forward to working with you.â
- listen and learn. Pay attention to what the boss and others say on the first day and take as many notes as possible.
- If you have any doubts about something, ask a few basic questions. Don't be afraid, it's better to ask than to do something wrong.
- If you have tatoos, it's better to try disguise them with makeup.
Don'ts:
- be late
- forget your documentation. When you're starting a new job, you usually need to fill out several forms and paperwork.
- gossip
- curse. Avoid bad words like "that sucks" or "f*ck". It's very unprofessional.
- tell jokes
- dress in poor clothes: flashy colors, cleavage, tube tops, low-rise pants, ripped jeans, fishnet stockings, shorts, miniskirts, excessive makeup, visible bra straps, workout outfit, crocs, outrageous hair color...If you're expected to be running up and down all day, don't wear high heels.
- overuse the cell phone. If you "must" use your cell phone, do it privately and quickly.

If you can, test drive the route to your work place before the first job day so you can calculate the time of your daily commute. Also it's nice idea to take something for lunch to work in a lunch bag or in a thermal container and prepare it the night before. Have a good night's sleep before the job day, eat a hearty breakfast and good luck.

How can I acheive the perfect summer body?

I want a flatter stomach and bigger thighs and I know to get this you must lose the fat but after I do what workouts should I do to get those "thunder thighs"? And flatter, toned stomach?

Answer
This I can help you with!

You need to first eat a healthy breakfast and lunch and dinner. Lots of veggies and lots of water (to make your skin just glooww) Use plenty of lotion after a shower when your pores are open and absorb more. Exfoliates are good especially for the lips. To give you a fresh look. Always sleep the right amount and put cold tea bags and cucubers on your eyes to refresh them and make you look more alive

Tummy:
RUNNING. Always good (remember lots of water) eat healthy. Crunches on an ab roller (about 3 sets of 10 or more if you feel like it you'll have a hard stomach in a month)

Legs
RUNNING (lots of water) about 3 sets of 10 squats

Suggestions on how to stay healthy with 2 jobs?!?

Bre

I am a college student out for the summer and working two jobs. (I work as a receptionist in the morning 8am-4pm and I am a sales associate at a retail store from 5-10)
I'm finding myself getting off my first job and constantly going to McDonalds, on my lunch breaks Iâm running to the nearest fast food store and I'm eating very unhealthy foods!
Any suggestions on how to stay healthy (and not spend a lot of money)with my busy schedule since I donât have time to exercise or prepare a really healthy lunch!

ps- any foods I can store in my car so on those days where I may not have time to go fast-food I can snack on whatâs it my car?

Answer
You sound like a busy woman! A few quick things that I like to eat.... South Beach Diet bars, Kashi granola bars, apples, bananas, or any fresh fruit, baby carrots, microwave popcorn (the 94% fat free kind), canned fruit in individual serving sizes, those bagged salads with some tuna or chicken breast on top, precooked chicken breast strips you can find by the lunch meat, turkey/ham/deli roast beef sandwich, even an occasional peanut butter sandwich, tuna salad with fat free mayo on crackers (they even have some in packages you could probably stick in your car), hard-boiled eggs, baked potato (you can microwave to save on time), protein shakes (i put the powder in my container and pick up an individual carton of fat-free milk if I'm on the go), healthy cereal (which you can eat any time of day), instant oatmeal, salsa and a small serving of baked chips.

I would definitely invest in some of those disposable or reusable "Gladware" type of containers, I pack up a container with cereal in the morning and some cut up vegetables for a mid-afternoon snack, or bring some leftovers from the night before to heat up.

If you're like me and hate getting up in the morning, prepare this quickly at night before going to bed and you'll be all set when it's time to run out the door. Make sure the healthy foods are available at home by finding time for a quick trip to the grocery store once a week, you can use one of your breaks at work to write yourself a list to get in and out quickly. It is a little preparation but definitely worth it. If you wake up late and find nothing in the fridge, no containers, no bread for a sandwich, etc., then it will probably be off to McDonalds!

You can do these things and actually save money compared to going to the fast food places. I originally started doing some of this to save money and then got into the health benefits as well.

Also, make sure to have breakfast, even if it's a granola bar and some fruit in the car on the way to work, it really helps my metabolism get going and helps me to not be so starving at lunch that I crave the fast food.

If you do find yourself at a fast food place, choose carefully. Ask to take a look at their nutritional information and think about it! Eat the low-fat dressing on your salad or ask for the fruit option instead of french fries if they have it. Avoid a lot of the mayo-type sauces and the non-diet sodas. I set myself a guideline that I could eat out for lunch once a week with friends/coworkers, the rest of the time I would bring my food.

For exercise, you could take some of your breaks from work and spend them walking, which could be some much-needed stress relief in the middle of the day.

Good luck!

I'm trying to save some money and it seems like not spending the 6 to 8 bucks on lunch every day would help. I'm thinking some type of pasta dish that I could put vegetables, olive oil, and some type of meat in for a pretty healthy and complete meal. Could someone suggest some recipes?

Do you a a grill at home and have a microwave at work? When my husband and I were on a budget, I would cook three different lean meats on the grill every weekend (hot dogs, hamburger, turkey burgers, chicken, pork chops work well for this). The list varied from week to week.

On the weekdays, I'd pack each of us one of the items wrapped in microwavable paper. I'd also fix each of us bread or bun with our favorite condiments and Add a bag of chips, fruit, or some other side.

At work we'd microwave the meat for 15-30 seconds, pop it on the rolls, and voila! A lunch that tastes like take-out but has less fat, sugar and calories for a mere fraction of the price.

If you have leftovers, chop them up, throw them in a pot with canned soup or spaghetti sauce, or scramble them with eggs, and have them for dinner on the weekend with bread and salad.

How do I save money on lunch or any meal?

Q. I get fast food or eat at resturants almost on a daily basis. especially during lunch. i am wasting too much money. i wanna save up to get a 71 charger or something.

how can i get a good cheap meal? sometime i can get at costco where i buy huge quantities. fast and good in protein.
i need protein.

Answer
You have to start making and taking your own food with you..
It's healthier and you'll feel better because eating fast food has too much sodium and too much fat..
Make your lunch, dinner ...
If you cook at home, make a little extra for the next day.
If you don't cook at home, you're gonna have to plan a weeks meals before you shop once a week...
Buy lunch meat, tuna, eggs, cheese, veggies, fruit, crackers, olives, dairy (cottage cheese, cream cheese, yogurt, and chocolate bars...
Get creative by looking on-line for brown-bag ideas...
Martha Stewart is one, or Rachael Ray, Food T.V network..
Have fun with it, and get a Thermos for your drinks..
You can save a lot of money not buying drinks out..Bring your own water, make Ice Tea, etc..
G'luck and I'll be thinkin' about you!
I just made my husband's lunch..2 turkey sandwiches on whole wheat with lettuce, and a bag of grapes, and a chocolate brownie....

What are some cool places for a 6-8 year old birthday party??????

coccadots<

What r some cool places for a 6 to 8 yr old birthday party??? I have to plan my sister's party and I need ideas...I was thinking about Bumble Beads....Is this a good idea????? Thxx!!!!

Answer
I was thinking Build-A-Bear too!

Other places you can go too are:

Miniature golf
Go karts
The zoo
movies and lunch
Ice cream parlor
If you have a gym place that has activities
Roller skating

There are pizza places you can go to and make your own pizzas and then sit down and eat them. Call your local pizzerias or like Pizzeria Uno. Your local one may do more showing them how to knead and toss the dough, but call around and see what's around if it's something they would like to do.

You can take them to a salon to get little manicures and make-overs, not big make-up and things, but they do things for that age group and the girls would LOVE it! Call your local salons and ask if and when they do the parties. Some do them on Sundays when the salon is closed etc.

You can go to an ice cream parlor, Friendly's, etc.

Picnic in the park. You can pack up some of her favorite foods and games and go to a park and have a party there if your local park allows.

Amusement park or waterpark

OR

You can do the party at home and take advantage of the nice weather. Before you completely close off the idea, here are some ideas: LOL

Have relay races, do potato sack races (use old pillow cases), three legged races, wheel barrel races, etc.

Set up a volleyball net and let them play volleyball (with an inflatable beach ball) and badmitten.

Get an inflatable kiddie pool and fill it with water, break them into 2 teams and have a tug of war, the losing team ends up in the pool! Then they can all go in later!

Set up an ice cream bar. Get chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry ice cream and some toppings. Sprinkles, chocolate syrup, whipped cream, and marachino cherries and have them make their own sundaes. You can get waffle cone bowls at the grocery store, OR make them ice cream cones!

You can get a pinata and in the same aisle at the party store is what's called pinata filler which are big bags of candy. Just make sure to write each child's name on the bag so there are NO fights over whose bag of candy is whose at the end of party! It can and will happen if there are no names on the bags! You can get the pull string pinatas if you don't want them with the regular ones!

For other games, there's one where they stand in a circle and they toss a ball around, it doesn't matter what order, but if someone drops it, they're out. The object is to keep the ball in the air. The last person standing and NOT to drop the ball wins!

Another game, they stand in a circle with their hands at their side or behind their backs, and canNOT use them and they pass the ball around the circle using ONLY their chins! They pass and take the ball with their CHINS ONLY! If they drop it, they're out, this game is hysterical to watch too! Whoever is the last standing wins!

Just make sure with this age group that you have prizes for everyone and that at the end of the party everyone has gotten at least one prize and you tell them this at the start of the game, otherwise you're going to have kids getting upset when they lose. Just keep reassuring them that you have games and that everyone will leave with a prize NO matter what! So make sure to have extras and that every child gets a prize!

They can also play Twister and charades and any board games that they like.

For food, do whatever your sister's favorites are. Being it's her birthday and her party she should have the food that she loves and that's her favorite. If it's pizza, send out for that, if it's tacos, do a taco bar, if it's bbq, do burgers and hot dogs, but make sure that the food is what she loves! Same with the chips and snacks too.

I hope some of these ideas help and that your sister has a great party and a very Happy Birthday!
