Answer
sorry...but no. you want a good, sturdy, but fashionable bag (preferably a backpack). you will be taking books and binders and lunch boxes or whatever you have for that day home, and you will probably want a backpack or tote thats good for your back and bigger than the one you picked out. for paramore...if you really like that band...check out hot topic or somewhere else with band stuff.

Kinchaku vs. Bento Bag?

KuroKitty

Hi, I was wondering if there is any difference between a Kinchaku bag and a Bento bag? Shape/size wise. I know there is sometimes a bamboo basket attached to a Kinchaku?

I want to buy one to wear with my Yukata... having a little trouble finding a proper/cheap Kinchaku to go with it. Thought it might be okay to substitute it for a bento bag...?

Thanks!
NB: I'm outsite Japanese so I'll be buying online. If anyone knows a good site that sells internationally, let me know :)

(The good quality Kinchaku on ebay are costing a fortune. >_<)

Answer
I have looked at rakuten.co.jp and ebay.com for some kinchaku-style bags including bento bags. I am surprised that bento bags are so fashionable nowadays. There are quite a few kinchaku-style bento bags that seem to go well with yukata. Size-wise, I would say that they are pretty much the same (just big enough to fit a small/girl's size bento box). Some of the kinchaku bags have handles.

Here are some pictures of kinchaku-style bags from rakuten.co.jp.

If you do not live in Japan, you can search for one on ebay.com using the following keywords.

Keywords: japanese kinchaku bag or lunch bag japanese

What are these bags called?

Q. They're bags and purses that are like solid colored with brown leather straps. The most common color I always see people with is navy blue but I've seen other colored ones. I can't think of what they're called and it's bugging me! Does anyone know what I'm
talking about? Sorry i can't think of a lot ofinfo .Thanks

Answer
5 Handbag Styles:

Oversize tote

With room for everything from your laptop to your lipstick, an oversize tote is a fantastic bag for work. These style handbags feature a structured shape, large interior compartment and open top that make it easy to carry everything you need and access it quickly. While you wouldn't want to carry a large tote to meetings or a business lunch, it's easy to throw in a small clutch to grab and take with you.

Satchel

A satchel is a hand-held, structured handbag. While not as big as other handbags, a satchel is ideal if you don't need to carry a laptop, documents or files to and from work with you. It's the perfect size for all your personal items, and the structured design holds up well to daily use.

Hobo

Much like an oversize tote, a hobo bag has plenty of space, but without the structured shape. Hobo bags usually have a zipper or magnetic snap, making sure the contents of your handbag don't accidentally spill on your way to work. The telltale crescent shape of a hobo bag gives it a slouchy look that, while fashionable, may not be the best for carrying documents. The slouchy design does, however, hide the contents of your bag well, so go ahead and stock it full.

Cross-body/messenger bag

If you're carrying a laptop, files, books and other heavy items to and from work, you'll want your bag to be both sturdy and comfortable. A cross-body bag distributes the weight across your body, making it easier to carry around. Most cross-body and messenger bags have adjustable straps so you can customize one to your needs.

Briefcase style

The ultimate handbag for work is a briefcase-style bag. Meshing classic office style with the modern handbag, briefcase handbags have the basic structure of a briefcase without all the bulk. These feminine business bags have interiors built for carrying documents, files and laptops, as well as everything from lotions to lipstick.

How to prepare for first day back at school (year 9)?

fashionable lunch bags on everest cooler lunch bag black the food stays cold until lunch time ...

What tips have you got (how to act, what to bring, how to be fashionable)
Its not a new school btw

Answer
ah, high school. it's nerve-wrecking, but take it from me (i'm starting junior year in the fall), it's way better than middle school. you have better teachers, better classes, better sports teams, better food, etc. but yes, it's still school. lol!

so here's some advice...

how to act - friendly! smile, help people out, offer up (honest) compliments. join a team or a group.

what to bring - all your basic school supplies of course: pens, pencils, paper, notebooks, book covers, calculator, etc..

electronics: phone and i-pod. great for when you're bored.

cute purse/tote - great for books, pens, makeup, etc.

emergency kit - (keep in locker) get a cute little bag/container, and fill it w/a few extra things, that might come in handy. 2-5 dollars, in case you run out of lunch money, or need to buy a book for english class, or perhaps a water bottle. minty gum/mints for those days when you eat sour cream and onion chips for lunch. 2 or 3 tampons/pads for those days it catches you by surprise. extra makeup in case you forget yours. safety pins, pens, hair ties. anything else that you think you might need. a small perfume and deoderant, hand sanitizer.

pictures and magnets for your locker.

how to be fashionable - be yourself! keep w/the trends, but only the ones you like. add an element of your own, like your fav shoes, or that shirt you made yourself, and there you go!

maybe get a new haircut, it's a good way to start out a new year.

good luck, and relax! everyone tries to change over summer break, but being yourself is the best bet! highschool goes fast, and it really is 4 great years. you'll make new friends, enjoy dances and football games, and learn a little something about yourself, life, and of course history, science, english and all that along the way!

How to keep sodas cold at school?

zach p

I don't have a locker just my backpack and i'm trying to keep atleast 6 sodas cold so I can sell them.

Answer
Bring a insulated lunch bag...there are some that are very fashionable =)

What is the best bag for law school?

fashionable lunch bags on Four Fashionable Rs: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and Rebel : TreeHugger
fashionable lunch bags image

..........

I need to fit in a large laptop, a couple of law school tomes (they are huge), lunch, a thermos, power adapter, make up bag, etc. I want a bag that would be functional (not hurt my back) as well as cute/fashionable. Help!
What do you think of this?

http://www.ebags.com/jansport/wheeled_super_break/product_detail/index.cfm?modelid=88470

Would that be enough to carry all that weight?

Answer
With the weight you'll be carrying, there isn't going to be an "easy" answer, because if you're carrying more than 10% your body weight in your bag, you WILL be straining your back.

You should definitly use a Backback with TWO shoulder straps, and not a messenger back with one strap. Using two straps will distribute the weight a "little" more evenly across your back, and allow you to walk straight, and not bend over to one side as you would if you were walking with a messenger back. Consider getting a bag with some padded shoulder straps as well...

Or, if you don't mind the hassel, I'd suggest getting a rolling backpack, that way you will have NO weight on your back.

That being said, I think your mean concern should be not hurting your back, before it being "cute".... fashionable doesn't really work in Law school, unless your trying to immitate "Legally Blonde's Elle Woods"....

I will be travelling this summer to europe/what to bring?

Q. For a month. I'll be staying in the same spot, but what are some necessities and splurges to get before I go?

Any sites with tips? Im 15 years old.

Answer
I did the same thing last year. The one thing I learned ..I pack way to much. Don't forget these things 1. A rain poncho (I know it's not fashionable but they are small and can be kept in your backpack or purse) It will rain at some point and it'll save you. 2.keep a note book and pen with you. I did this and just wrote random stuff about what I was seeing and drew pictures of things when I had free time or while I was eating lunch .I had totaly frogotten about a lot of the stuff I wrote. It was so much better than a jurnal. Pluss you didn't wait untill the end of the day to try and remeber every thing you saw and did. 3. A small first aid kit with advil and safty pins etc. 4. toilet paper (I know it's weird but in some places they'll charge you for it) just take the cardboard out of the middle and put it in a ziplock bag.5. hand sanitizer. Trust me you'll need it.6. Long sleved shirt or hoody. It's Summer but it can still get chilly and night and if you're up in the mountains. 7. A bottle for water. I wasted soo much money buying water. Fill up at the Hotel with as much ice as it can hold and then add some water it'll stay cold longer.8. Take a backpack with you it saved me. I would do day trips out to different villages and buy stuff and i could just put it in my bag and go.9. This is more of a warning. Watch out for pick pockets. if you're in a very crowded area turn your back pack around and wear it in the front so you can watch it. NEVER carry all you money in one place. I kept maybe 50 euros in my wallet with more in the bottom of my bag and I also rented a small safe for my Hotel room so I kept most of it there. If someone comes up and tries to sell you flowers just say no and move on they have "friends" who will steal your stuff when your not looking.I had this happen in Malaga,Spain. I chased down the theif and got my stuff back but, I should have known better. 10. take about one weeks worth of clothing. The Hotels all have laundry services and its pretty cheap. Pluss you'll have more room for stuff you buy. Hope this helps!
