What are these bags called?

Q. They're bags and purses that are like solid colored with brown leather straps. The most common color I always see people with is navy blue but I've seen other colored ones. I can't think of what they're called and it's bugging me! Does anyone know what I'm
talking about? Sorry i can't think of a lot ofinfo .Thanks

do you have american eagle outfitters there? they have really cute bags and they fit a lot of stuff.
i also looked at river island. and thought these bags are pretty cute.
