What are some good things to make for dinner that I could use the leftovers for lunch?

I'm trying to save some money and it seems like not spending the 6 to 8 bucks on lunch every day would help. I'm thinking some type of pasta dish that I could put vegetables, olive oil, and some type of meat in for a pretty healthy and complete meal. Could someone suggest some recipes?

Answer
Do you a a grill at home and have a microwave at work? When my husband and I were on a budget, I would cook three different lean meats on the grill every weekend (hot dogs, hamburger, turkey burgers, chicken, pork chops work well for this). The list varied from week to week.

On the weekdays, I'd pack each of us one of the items wrapped in microwavable paper. I'd also fix each of us bread or bun with our favorite condiments and Add a bag of chips, fruit, or some other side.

At work we'd microwave the meat for 15-30 seconds, pop it on the rolls, and voila! A lunch that tastes like take-out but has less fat, sugar and calories for a mere fraction of the price.

If you have leftovers, chop them up, throw them in a pot with canned soup or spaghetti sauce, or scramble them with eggs, and have them for dinner on the weekend with bread and salad.

How do I save money on lunch or any meal?

Q. I get fast food or eat at resturants almost on a daily basis. especially during lunch. i am wasting too much money. i wanna save up to get a 71 charger or something.

how can i get a good cheap meal? sometime i can get at costco where i buy huge quantities. fast and good in protein.

Answer
You have to start making and taking your own food with you..
It's healthier and you'll feel better because eating fast food has too much sodium and too much fat..
Make your lunch, dinner ...
If you cook at home, make a little extra for the next day.
If you don't cook at home, you're gonna have to plan a weeks meals before you shop once a week...
Buy lunch meat, tuna, eggs, cheese, veggies, fruit, crackers, olives, dairy (cottage cheese, cream cheese, yogurt, and chocolate bars...
Get creative by looking on-line for brown-bag ideas...
Martha Stewart is one, or Rachael Ray, Food T.V network..
Have fun with it, and get a Thermos for your drinks..
You can save a lot of money not buying drinks out..Bring your own water, make Ice Tea, etc..
G'luck and I'll be thinkin' about you!
I just made my husband's lunch..2 turkey sandwiches on whole wheat with lettuce, and a bag of grapes, and a chocolate brownie....
