Annabel

we are seniors in high school, but we have been together for over a year now...last year i had covered the inside of his locker in hot pink construction paper, and took little sticky notes and wrote everything that i loved about him... he liked it alot... but i am stuck this year, cuz i am not the romantic type by any means... so a little help? i do not want anything over pg 13. it will not be that kind of valentines day...i assure you. just something a little sweet to show him that i really love him, yah know all that cheesy stuff :3 <3
he is eighteen and i am eighteen, we are not children. so please no childish comments....and i am a girl...not a sir...

Seems like a card with a sweet note would be good with a simple gift would be just the thing. Some possibilities might reflect that you're graduating & moving on to college or the beginning stages of adulthood. Here are a few of these possibilities...

a couple of coffee mugs
oversize towel & matching washcloths
sports bag or carry on piece of luggage
stadium seats cushions or cushions with blankets inside
laptop "skin" cover
portable file
LED flashlight or one with a windup charger or one on a keyring
Even a guy might like a potted plant, such as a tropical plant, a jade plant, or a prayer plant with a computer printout on the care of it.
Maybe a stuffed Peanuts character. Usually, I would suggest the very popular Snoopy or Woodstock, but looking at your cute pic together, maybe Lucy would be a good one for you to give to him.
There's also a Hallmark book about life with a witty saying & a Peanuts comic strip across from each one. I got one last month as a Christmas gift for a teenager. I got mine in a CVS, but they might be available in other stores with Hallmark stuff.
Could also check a local bookstore for other books of comic strips, such as Bizarro or another favorite.

You could make a gift with a spring theme, like a picnic basket or nylon insulated bag packed with plastic dishes & cutlery for 2 with a checkered table cloth & a new Frisbee or kite.

Otherwise, you could offer to pay for an outing that you haven't done before, such as admission to an art or history museum & lunch nearby. Or you could attend a stage play at a nearby college. Don't buy any tickets without checking with him on the choice & the time & date.

Also, there are the usual snacks to share, such as brownies, pastries, homemade cookies, or a special kind of bread for sandwiches from a supermarket bakery. I've listed things with a wide range of prices. It doesn't have to cost a huge amount. I'm sure that each of you will want to save your money for the future.

Hope you have lots of fun on your Valentine's Day weekend. It's good that this year everyone can choose between Friday night or anytime on the weekend. Enjoy!
