What to pack for lunch for a vegetarian?

ColossusSh

Hai! I guess you could say I'm a fairly picky eater, but not too picky. I am a vegetarian and it's hard for me to come up with lunch ideas. I hate pb and j's and I don't want anything that will smell or rot if left in my bag for a few hours. I'm tired of salads and I have a sweet tooth! I also like chips, but those are really unhealthy and I want a lunch that won't leave me feeling sick. Any ideas? Thank you!

get some tofu, flavor it with some Worcestershire sauce, add some mozzarella cheese with some parsley, oregano and what have you. put it on a panini bread and grill it on a george foreman grill or toast it in the oven for a few minutes on each side or until you feel its ready. go to an international food store and buy some or-chata (basically a rice powder with sugar) and bring some cold milk in a thermos to mix it with for a creamy sweet drink. then make your own trail mix by getting some peanuts, cashews and almonds wet, sprinkleing a little raw sugar, some salts, and a little cinnimon over them. or you can get creative, and experiment with different flavors. (you can go spicy sprinkle some lemon juice and some chili powder) roast them in the oven until the water has evaporated completely. if you go with the sweet tooth idea add your favorite bite sized candy. m&ms would probably make the most sense. or if you go with the tangy spicy idea i would add some wasabi beans. cut up some apples, and some pears and put them in a small pyrex pan. pour a cooking oil of choice over it, (i would not suggest olive oil, maybe vegetable oil, or something along those lines) add sugar, cinnimon and a little bit of salt, (just to break up the flavors) put the pan in the oven for about 10 to 15 minutes. (the smaller you cut up the fruit the less time it will take to soften up) or until your desired softness. pack it all up in a well insulated lunch bag/ container and your ready to go. its a bit of work but it will be worth it the next day!!!! and just be creative,go to cooking websites and look at recipes that sound good to you.

Answer
1. You won't have a lot of homework. Or if you do, it won't be difficult because you haven't got into the cirriculum. If you really don't want to stress that night, then just forget homework and copy the next morning. That's pretty much what I did every single day and I still got a gpa of 4.375.
2. You really won't have ANY time to use your locker unless you have gym (becuase no one is every on time to gym), lunch, or its the begining or end of the day. That might sound kinda of weird to lugg all your stuff around all day but It's really not that much. Plus, even if you really did have time to go to your locker im pretty sure you would rather chat with friends, flirt with guys, or cram for a quiz/test.
3. Some people do carry insulated lunchboxes. It's nothing embarassing. Nobody's paying attention enough to notice what you carry your lunch in except your close friends. And they wouldn't say anything to hurt your feelings.
4. YOU WILL NOT GET LOST!!! unless you do it on purpose. It's to easy to figure out where your class is as long as you know where all the halls are at. The only classes you might get lost looking for are classes that aren't in the main hallways, like dance, theater, gym, and any class in trailers.
5. You really don't need to go all out on school suppllies. High school teachers could care less about where you keep your classwork (Except for a few exceptions) . Just make sure you have at least one folder, paper, a pen, and a plastic sleeve to keep all the stuff that you can't afford to wrinkle. Binder's are too bulky to cary around so don't bother unless your teacher requires it. Same goes for accordian files. Backpacks can get annoying to carry, clash with most outfits, and are only useful for carrying projects or gym clothes.
6.You wait till 4 hours after you've posted the question then the option will apear :]
7. Book covers are totally USELESS. But some teachers do require it or give extra credit for having it. In that case, make sure to get extra large covers because I have yet to see a textbook that can fit in the regular ones.
8. Honestly, I think every girl needs to have at least foundation ( too even your skintone) and mascara (to bring out your eyes) because without it, people just look plain. Even though you have glasses, Mascara(pitch black) will still look nice. Just make sure you know how to use it. And make sure your foundation matches your skin color well (don't be cheap on the foundation because cheap ones do no work). Using makeup appropriatley and lightly makes a girl look classy, professional, and girly.

HOPE I HELPED! and good luck
freshman year is really exciting. It will go by in a flash so enjoy it!!!! its your time to have fun and be immature, in other words, act like a freshman ^.^
